That was way too unexpected
| |
Guitar song of the year right here
| |
Also, the music video is just as good as the song
| |
yeah this was great
| |
Great video. Terrible song.
| |
noice
| |
Great stuff, nice mixture of their signature energy and melody.
| |
Way better than I was expecting. Always kind of liked these guys.

Terrific video, energetic song.

| |
holy fucking shit
| |
Good shit! I'm doing summer abroad in Prague and just found out these guys are coming to town. Would love to hear it live.
| |
Terrific video, energetic song.
| |
A whole album like this, please.
| |
This is cool, but they're gonna fuck it up.. trust me
| |
I think I've rarely seen a music video that did such a huge diservice to a song. Or maybe I'm just not accustomed to the band's style.
| |
This one is WOW. Just WOW
| |
Nothing special
| |
Nice surprise, this song rocks
| |
That was a pleasant surprise. Very energetic with a nice hook.
| |
Decent song
| |
Kicks the ass of everything on their last album.
| |
A bad radio rock song and a bad screamo song in one! Like finding two dinkies in your cereal!
| |
So this video is exactly the same as the one for Revocation - The Grip Tightens
https://youtu.be/6rXZs9FviFQ
| |
Their best song since White Limo!
| |
Better song at least, bloc.
| |
«So this video is exactly the same as the one for Revocation - The Grip Tightens
https://youtu.be/6rXZs9FviFQ »
or Seether - Same Damn Life
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3_lIPESVTw
| |
Hey guys! This guy listens to Seether!!!! ^^^^^^^^^^^
| |
So?
| |
band are so adorably inoffensive..
| |
song is complete ass I don't know what's up with you ppl.
| |
"Better song at least, bloc."
Which is better? Revo or Foo?
| |
I'm just trolling around in this thread, tbh. I don't know that song by name, but I get down with Revocation now and again.
| |
I was prepared to hate on this, but the end of the video was pretty funny.
| |
not bad but the hevy riff is so lame
| |
song is foo fighters out of 10
which idk is like a 6
| |
enjoyed that way more than I expected to
| |
Also Dave looks like Tom Araya
| |
'song is foo fighters out of 10
which idk is like a 6'
so, like, this is 1 green day out of 10? green day = foo fighters?
| |
nah green day is way inconsistent to get anything overall. foo fighters are p much always decent but nothing special
| |
Okay song, video rules tho.
| |
it's definitely a step in the right direction after whatever Sonic Highways was supposed to be
| |
sounds like shit to me. That screamo bullshit makes it suck.
| |
lol 'screamo'
| |
This was far better than I expected after the pile of meh that Sonic Highways was.
| |
fucking incredible [3]
Though I wish the bass was heavier, I feel like Nate's playing has been pushed back a lot since their earlier work.
| |
Sonic Highways was pretty boring and this seems slightly more interesting.
I usually check out their stuff - they are never a 10/10 but always kind of fun to follow
| |
Also it's not screamo, pretty sure Dave Grohl's stated numerous times Foo's *partly* influenced by hardcore.
| |
Great song.
| |
not enough skramz
| |
Not bad
| |
Let's not forget that Sonic Highways had a strong lead single too. But yes this shreds.
| |
I'm sure it's just a coincidence that Dave looks like Tom fucking Araya.
| |
All seriousness; awesome song, awesome video. Hope a new album is in the works
| |
it's not bad
| |
can this band go one song without making the most generic chorus ever?
| |
Dave's voice is way too distorted imo. It's my biggest issue with this track I guess, otherwise it's pretty fun.
| |
good song is good
| |
very cool
| |
song is complete ass I don't know what's up with you ppl. [2]
somebody mentioned white limo, now that song was fucking gr8
| |
those distorted vocals are weak as hell
| |
Fucking Great
| |
Eh, it's okay. As a guitar song it'll be fun to play.
As a song song, it's kinda forgettable.
| |
"somebody mentioned white limo"
This one's nowhere near as good as white limo
| |
Ok White Limo is fuckin brilliant, gonna have to hear this then
| |
Omg the old lady's titties
| |
decent song. hard to get past the dogshit vox effects tho.
| |
Surely Dave shouldn't need those FX, he's more than capable of screaming without that I'd imagine.
| |
lol 'screamo' (2)
Also song rules.
| |
Sucks ass
| |
Pretty good! Dragged a little toward the end though.
| |
Damn, one of the best songs these guys have made in a lonnnnggg time
| |
really liked this.
| |
Awesome song, might be up their with their best but we'll see
Also, one of the funniest videos I've seen in forever, actually made me laugh long and hard at the ending
| |
fucking fantastic
got wet eyes lol
| |
"Surely Dave shouldn't need those FX, he's more than capable of screaming without that I'd imagine."
My feeling exactly, the distortion is totally unnecessary and even a bit annoying. His voice is powerful enough to pull off hard screams without using any effects for sure.
| |
Like most 'good' Foos material - will be enjoyable for two and a half spins...then unbearable
| |
Ah you're too harsh on em doof bro, they have made some damn great tracks with substance and lots of replay value, at least for me.
| |
That awkward moment when Foo Fighters made better new song than Arcade Fire
| |
This is better than it has any right to be. A whole album like this would rip
| |
I dunno. I sincerely loved their 1995 debut. Still one of my favorite albums from that era. But after that...well. Just my opinion.
| |
hey wait this is actually awesome - possibly their best song since colour and the shape and the distorted screams add an awesome edge
certainly their most biting/energetic song in 20 years
| |
yea this is still doing nothing for me
| |
The vocal effect does sound pretty cheap imo
| |
...people like this? I've heard it twice now, and I still can't remember the god damn chorus.
The structure is straight ripped from The Pretender again, it's just Foo Fighters doing they're usual single release but with like a big but not at all well executed soft intro into hard verse. I don't think this song would be half as epic without the blown out production values.
It just annoys me, if Dave Grohl and co. focused and actually put time into crafting something not just at standard but above standard, they've honestly be making music worth listening to by next month. Otherwise, forget it...
| |
I don't see many similarities with Pretender. This song is very energetic and actually has some balls unlike Sonic Highways and is gonna be a blast live. That's all the Foo's need, since everyone knows their songs are gonna be catchy either way.
And they're never gonna write anything super complex or outside the box, cause that's not what they're about.
| |
I've always had a love/hate relationship with foo fighters but this single is really fucking good honestly
also for people calling this 'screamo', you might be retarded
| |
last place I expected to see someone misuse the term "screamo" was on sput. That's some "I like everything but country and rap" bullshit
| |
no, misuse of "screamo" is some "I like pop/country/rap music and don't know anything about other genres because I'm ignorant and throw around labels without knowing what they actually are" bullshit
| |
Lol true.
| |
Best thing Foo Fighters have put out in years. Really hoping the album takes on this tone.
| |
Yeah, I like it quite a bit. Had to listen to it again today.
| |
solid track and funny ass video
| |
Holy shit this is actually really good. Where the hell did they pull this one out from?
| |
fucking incredible [4]
| |
wtf i hate skramz now
| |
unexpected. If an album is in the works, I hope it's like a Wasting Light 2.0.
| |
