Oh god no. The comment section to this song is so so bad, it's sanity-diminishing to look at. the song itself wasn't the worst thing ever, but I'd rather never listen to this ever again.

Song is mediocre and hilarious. Hopsin is hilarious.
good blend of being serious and not serious at the same time.
corny takes balls in this day and age. cause ppl are normalized softies who need to attack corniness in order to make themselves feel better about their own individuality.
I stand by the brotha preaching.

to all who use the word 'cringe', I sense hypocrisy. feel uncomfortable about yourselves without projecting it onto the people who are down to act in spite of your obvious judgments. you cringe because you are socially self-conscious. One day maybe, you'll realize, fuck it. and decide to become a real person rather than a social profile. Or maybe you'll still like Death Grips and be infatuated with that potentially hot girl with hairy armpits. who knows... either way, me and hopsin will be praying for you! lol

presuming that everyone whom finds something embarrassingly bad is actually just acting out compensatory projection of some sort of personal deficit is, in itself, a projection.
and if u think that you have entirely transcended social self-consciousness then, well, you are either an idiot or are in denial.

lol that's a generalization of what i said. I don't presume everyone who finds something embarrassingly bad... etc. etc., I presume that many are when they use certain words by themselves like 'cringe' relative to certain products.

and I have not transcended social self-consciousness, I have practiced operating in spite of it for long enough that it usually no longer corrupts my personal behavior in my pretending that its not there in order to cope with it. i just let the guard down.

its reasonable to find Hopsin bad, just not cringeworthy. Most rap is pathetic. It literally brags about being a piece of shit. But its the most popular genre today. The explanation for this is that it is socially validating because people like to feel better about the shitty things that they do. That's why its 'social' music. People 'relate' to it, where relation is not really empathy, more like entertaining, exaggerated self-pity.
Meanwhile, someone like Hopsin or a Christian metalcore artist is going to be the very most likely to be called "cringe" for the very reason that it says to "be the best that you can be" or some "gay" shit like that. And that really gets the insecure social bullies riled up and ready to rage on the internet. anything lined anywhere near "corny" becomes cringe while most things near "fucked up" or "lowly" is allowed a free pass because ppl want to feel okay about being lowly and they definitely don't want to think anyone is morally superior to them. Thus, any attempt at being moral gets shat on the hardest, and being intentionally immoral often gets labeled "authentic." But the paradox is that the immoral are inauthentic, and those trying to be moral who are shat on the hardest are often innocently authentic, almost dreamlike. And then the wolves gather round to try to externalize their insecurities, and usually end up turning that innocent authenticity into something worse. so when i smell dirty cunts, I often take the responsibility of playing the giant douche...

"for someone who touts being so "woke" he sure is a dreadful misogynist isn't he"
No. This song isn't prejudiced. It is annoyingly aggressive and selfish. but its not misogynistic because it doesn't generalize women as worse than men. It expresses animosity towards one person for their actions. That's not misogyny.

Misogyny would be closer to treating women as if they couldn't handle responsibility or criticism or harsh words like men because they are inherently more sensitive than men. tho, this would be labeled "nice" by many, its demeaning, and would enable the person for their whole life to feel unworthy of taking on adversity to an equal extent. i used that example specifically because it doesn't have to do with being nice or not, and because its a pretty prominent way men remain misogynistic while pretending they are being caring to suggest women shouldn't have to handle the responsibility the man would proudly take on. but its rlly just another way of saying women are less than, while playing it off as something else, in many cases at least. obviously there are circumstances where the man is being caring, for example, to not want his wife to have to take on a shitty responsibility.

^but tbh he might be misogynistic. lol I really don't know. only heard his last album and didn't listen too hard for obvious reasons. but I just mean this song specifically is not even if it is assholic

^ lol no I care a lot about what ppl think period. I care that they go around saying things are "cringe" to a variety of things in a pretty disturbing sort of way. And I care that misogyny is misinterpreted. I'm sure if you did a little searching, you could find me saying similar things on a variety of threads I don't care about hardly at all in themselves.

This isn't serious. I'm not taking it seriously. I'm laughing with my girlfriend about it. I'm about to go blaze and watch Willow. but it is sad to see so many people feel the need to impose their fear of anything serious onto situations by posting something like 'cringe' over a conversation you yourselves are saying is not serious that you're not even involved in. A question: if this is so unimportant, why are you keeping up with it? seriously, it took me 3 days to come back to see this joke. I'm going to address it and move on. but I am going to address it - I'm not gonna go around an online forum commenting petty bullshit everywhere - seriously, its okay to not be an apathetic drone. you don't have to only post 10 words so that no one calls you names. and u certainly don't have to be nauseated by someone that does. Online is a public forum. It needs to be taken seriously. Look at how much time you spend online. That much influence needs to be taken seriously. Otherwise, this is what happens. Everyone turns into little sissy boys too afraid to do anything other than take nothing seriously and shit on anyone who does. Yall live in the paradoxes of yourselves, wiping your filthy faces in the same shit you laugh at others for stepping in. At least I step in my own shit. Goodnight ladies and gentlemen, hope you've enjoyed the show. Happy to say I probably won't be online tomorrow night to see your 15 one-word comments. I will likely be fulfilling myself by trying hard to change the world in whatever humble way I can, trying hard, and getting laughed at every step of the way. And I'll still be grinning, just like I am now. But I confess, its been a long road to get here - yall do make it hard to care
