As much as I love CTE's music, their passive aggressive commentary towards David really pissed me off and made me lose a lot of respect for them.
David's response really took the high ground, and I'm avidly looking forward to David's solo work.

I have no respect for these guys anymore, they don't write their own stuff, and they claim it as their own. They also shit on Dave upon his departure. They couldn't have been more childish about it. Dave has a great voice, and he can shred, I sincerely hope the best for him, and the worst for Crown.

according to a 2014 interview they admitted a ghost writer (old non-touring member) and their one guitarist did most of the writing, so I suppose this shouldn't come as much of a surprise to uber fans.

I read his statement and he doesn't say that. Dude who writes stuff seems to be that Brendon who is indeed credited from their very first album up until the recent one.

Dave was CTEs best vocalist of the two, so they took a big hit. Saw them live with just andy and it was bad. So like retrograde, this band will fall into obscurity

I find it asinine to criticize Dave for having little creative input when they seemingly had just as little input as him. I also find it funny how they say they all grew as people and wouldn't let their selfishness tear them apart, and right afterwards they try and shit on the guy. Really good job displaying the "personal growth" and "selflessness" you all tought each other.

I wonder what David did that is so fucked up to get him pretty much kicked out. Telling everyone that they don't write shit makes it seem like he is kind of salty. I can understand why CTE was being passive aggressive in their statement.
