The Unguided Reveal Song/Video 2016-12-09 by Rolling Girl | 5 Comments | Swedish Melodeath band The Unguided have released a music video for the song "Nighttaker" off the EP Brotherhood which is supposedly set to come out sometime this month. This is the first song the band has released with Jonathen Thorpenberg who will replace Roland Johansson as clean vocalist and lead guitar player. In a recent statement given by the band — Johansson has stepped down from the band in order spend more time at home. He still hopes to work with the band in any way he can as he does briefly appear in the music video. Roland posted on the band's facebook page saying:
"Don’t get me wrong, I love to be there on stage and perform for you all, and so does the rest of the band. But it also comes with a price, a lot of traveling and being away from home for long periods of time... I just can’t find it in myself to be away from my family, and my work, to fulfill those wishes for you. I just don’t think it’s fair for you or the band."

I would've thought that a new singer would get this band to experiment a little, guess not though. Track is okay regardless.
| | | video is great for breaking heteronormative stereotypes.
are they actually playing guitars, or are they just pretending with a keyboard? that's a serious question though.
used to like a few of this band's tracks in hs. Song is alright.
| | | While I'm all for breaking heteronormativity, what's your reasoning here?
| | | They're not pushing themselves but they're still way ahead of Sonic Syndicate
| | | sounds exactly like Only Inhuman SS, definitely better than Confessions but that's not saying much
