K-Rino to release 7-disc album

2016-11-28 by Stormy Smiley Face | 23 Comments
Last week Houston rapper K-Rino released a seven disc lyrical epic entitled The Big Seven, which is now a World Record for number of original albums released at once under one project. Each disc has its' own artwork and divides the album up in appropriate places to further the narrative K-Rino envisioned upon writing and recording the 84 songs on Big 7.

The Big 7
1. Universal Curriculum
2. Conception of Concept
3. Enter the Iron Trap
4. The Wizard's Ransom
5. American Heroes
6. Welcome to Life
7. Interventions

"My first idea was, 'I'm going to drop 100 songs on iTunes at once', or something like that. I would suggest and prefer that people listen to them in order, simply because I have continuations of previous stories that I've done..."

The political and real life rapper had previously released 30 albums since 1993. Not counting the 7 discs, this album is still the most ambitious release K-Rino has ever put out.

"This will probably be my crowning achievement as an artist, creatively and work-wise."

You can purchase The Big 7 altogether or album by album from iTunes.

Regarding his discography he seems to be the Buckethead of Hip-Hop. It's highly doubtful he's just as talented though...

He honestly doesn't have that many releases, he just has a small handful of years where he dropped 3+ albums for some reason.

Yeah I know... Was meant to be a bit exaggerated of course :] But his output quantity is def way above average.

I've only listened to one of his album, and that was from 1993 or so.

He's easily one of the top 25 best rappers of all time in terms of flow, rhythm, lyrics, story, and the beats he uses.

yeah, lyrically he may well be the GOAT

@typhoon: I listened to the first two albums/discs and it was better than all his other stuff except for "Annihilation of the Evil Machine". I'm amped to get on to the next 5.

Why anyone would put out so many records is beyond me. If you actually spend time on an album with your best songs/concept + marketing you might get some hype going and build a bigger fanbase. Guess I don't get it

Edit: I might actually check this, sounds interesting

two albums in and it seems very well crafted and like he took a ton of time on it. he did say he worked on writing lyrics and recording flows from December 2015 to this September so that's pretty good.

I've heard the first four of these and they are extremely well put together, there isn't a subject K-Rino can't tackle. He speaks from the heart, so much of his work is deeply personal and stuff we can all relate to and the creativity that comes with his storytelling is incredible. He can also spit some of the greatest battle-rap songs and with 25 albums plus he is the most consistent MC lyrically. To anyone that thinks this seems like it would be rushed just listen to at least the first two and see how you go from there. It flows together smoothly and if you aren't familiar with K-Rino checkout Annihilation of the evil machine, Alien Baby and The Maven.
