Damn I remember Worlds Beyond the Veil

Didn't know these dudes were still together, gotta jam this later.

Apparently the bassist/vocalist quit the band while mixing the album. So I guess it's only Macey now

This band writes some bizarre death metal but all of their albums are quite solid from what I remember.

EDIT: Just finished listening to this and I think it's pretty dope. The songwriting is a bit wonky here and there and some of the riffs aren't the most creative but the signature Mithras chaotic space atmosphere is stronger than ever on this one, which I really dig. The Outer Dark is crazy. Recommended (y).

this lead work on this is pretty amazing.

However, as I was listening all along, I felt like this type of DM was craving some ultra low guttural vox like Artificial Brain/Phobocosm (for contemporary examples) instead of the low-pitched shouted vox. Also, I don't know why the kickdrum has to be so high in the mix, it sounds like it's triggered but I could be wrong.

Other than that, it was pretty dense with crazy good riffs and leads, will need more listens
