whyyyyyy

Man what the hell, Soilwork is such a success story right now. I mean I get it, it's Megadeth but damn. Crappy news.
| |
Wow that sucks considering their track record as of late. But maybe Megadeth will benefit from his addition.
| |
well fuck
| |
his drumming was REALLY good, hopefully they can find someone who can breathe even more air into the fire soilwork has going right now
| |
damn fuck megadeth should be dead by now, this guy is a beast on drums, hope they find someone to fill his shoes
| |
Revitilizing Megadeth? Their new album was a snoozefest even with Adler.
| |
Wow! This was unexpected considering how awesome the past couple Soilwork albums have been. His drumming was always a highlight. I hope they find someone better, but someone just on his level will be hard enough.
| |
what the FUCK
| |
So he quit Soilwork so he could join Megadeth for a year, maybe two, before he leaves the band? What a fucking waste
| |
Adler is great but his drumming was sub par for Megadeth.
| |
Megadeth also have a video for Post-American World coming out soon I believe - might be worth mentioning in the article.
| |
Oh yeah for sure, play some amazing shows too.
| |
So he quit Soilwork so he could join Megadeth for a year, maybe two, before he leaves the band? What a fucking waste [2]
| |
what the ass
| |
That sucks, was playing The Ride Majestic a lot last month, probably one of the best drum albums from 2015.
| |
is this a fucking joke?!??!?
fucking circlejerk right there wtf man. dirk is a way to good drummer to play with fucking megadeth.
and to leave soilwork like that wtf man.
| |
L O L
| |
So he quit Soilwork so he could join Megadeth for a year, maybe two, before he leaves the band? What a fucking waste [3]
| |
are you fuckin kidding me
| |
it's called money, maybe you guys have heard of it?
| |
tell us about it plz
| |
Saw Megadeth two weeks ago with Dirk on drums, great and energetic performance. Glad he joined the band.
| |
this sucks cus dirk's style is kinda weird for an extreme metal drummer so replacing him will be tough.
| |
He left the better band right now, but ah well, the cash makes up for it.
| |
He was very important figure to make last two albums such successes for Soilwork. Really don't like he's joining Megadeth who are WAY past their prime. :/ He's really too good for what Megadeth is now. I know it pays better but still.....
| |
Well that fucking sucks
| |
Leaves a band at the top of their game to join an old, stale band on the way out the door. Makes sense.
| |
Do you guys realize that without thrash there would be no death metal and without death metal there would be no radio friendly melodic death metal (The Ride Majestic was about as extreme as metalcore)? Dave Mustaine is the godfather of thrash, so show some respect.
| |
go back to Youtube bro
| |
I had no idea he was already drumming for Megadeth. Money is definitely the most influential factor here.
| |
lol marf making a tool out of himself
| |
InFlames, touche. hahaha
| |
is this a fucking joke?!??!?
fucking circlejerk right there wtf man. dirk is a way to good drummer to play with fucking megadeth.

Samuelson, Menza, DeGrasso and Colaiuta all were awesome drummers so Verbeuren is in good company. Nothing reprehensible or wrong in joining Megadeth.
| |
First Kevin Durant and now THIIISSSSSSSSS WTF
Sike I don't think I've ever jammed Soilwork before.
| |
do it man, they are really great, they've been on a serious roll these past few years
| |
Wasted talent. Megadeth has always been, and will always be, trash.
| |
Yeah Megadeth sucks, never understood the love they get on Sputnik
| |
Well they've definitely put out some amazing stuff but now they're really not that relevant or good anymore.
Just hope Soilwork will find a worthy replacement.
| |
Dirk is such a fucking animal at drumming. Maybe he can add a huge influence that will really make Megadeth interesting. But to replace him for Soilwork?...dude, I don't know how well that will go. They've been really picking up the pace too.
Beyond a shadow of a doubt, money is the influence and he will probably get bored but hey....maybe he join Devin Townsend again. That would be so fucking sick.
| |
I can understand wanting to play in Megadeth, but leaving Soilwork to do it? Not so sure if that was the best move. Maybe he had to.
Also, how long before Dave gets tired of thrash again and goes back to his cock rock?
| |
Soilwork sucks anyway it's not a big loss
| |
band is ruined
| |
I think Nomos forgot an "h" in his comment.
| |
*I think Nomos forgot an "h" in his name.
| |
Haha, nice one bloc. Made me lol.
| |
Cunt move tbh, dude has been with Soiwork for more than 10 years. Then again, maybe he was "let go" by Soilwork. Also, I'm pretty sure it makes more financially sense to play bigger venues and stadiums with Megadeth rather than pubs and festivals with Soilwork.
| |
Haha, nice one bloc. Made me lol. [2]
| |
Just got into this band a few months ago, fucking sucks ahahah
| |
Totally about the money--he's going to go to waste with 'Deth. His work on The Ride Majestic is clinical!
| |
"Totally about the money"
I mean relatively speaking, maybe. But even Randy Blythe (in one of the biggest US metal bands) said he only makes like a hundred grand a year. Have to remember that when we talk about musicians in the modern area they generally don't make that much even when they are "big". At this point you could probably argue that staying in Soilwork would've been a better investment, given that their popularity is continuing to increase, whereas Megadeth's has kind of hit its ceiling.
| |
Nobody knows who the fuck Soilwork are
Megadeth is a household name
| |
Shame to see such a talented drummer go from an extremely mediocre band to a has-been one.
| |
apparently this was on Chris Adler's recommendation
| |
this is bad as fuck news for Soilwork. we can only hope they get a good replacement drummer and actually let him play blast beats, otherwise we might be back to fucking figure number five days
