New Novena single 2016-06-11 by DatsNotDaMetulz | 3 Comments | UK progressive rock/metal quintet Novena have released their first song from the upcoming EP (details TBA). The song, "Lost Within A Memory", features Slice the Cake vocalist Gareth Mason.
Novena are:
Ross Jennings (Haken) - vocals
Harrison White (ex-Bleeding Oath, ex-Tradjectory) - guitar, keys
Dan Thornton (No Sin Evades His Gaze) - guitar
Matt "Moat" Lowe (No Sin Evades His Gaze, ex-Bleeding Oath) - bass
Cameron Spence (ex-A Deeper Dreed) - drums
The band are set to make their live debut opening the Main Stage at UK Tech-Metal Fest in July, where Haken and No Sin Evades His Gaze are also set to perform.

Wow, certainly didn't expect such frowls from Ross. Song sounds nice, a bit heavy. I was afraid it was going to be power prog, which I detest, but it turned out pretty decent.

Harrison (who's the guitarist/keyboardist/main songwriter) is a big Devin Townsend fan. Can definitely hear that influence on the track.
