Mastodon, At The Drive-In, QOTSA members join forces

2016-04-13 by Toondude | 40 Comments
Troy Sanders of Mastodon, Troy Van Leeuwen of Queens of the Stone Age, and Tony Hajjar of the recently reunited At The Drive-In, have officially created their own rock supergroup called Gone Is Gone. Keyboardist-guitarist Mike Zurin will also join them.

The band is set to release an EP later this summer via Rise Records and is rumored to release a 13-track LP sometime next year. They are also scheduled to make their live debut during At The Drive-In's reunion tour in Los Angeles.

You can listen to a preview of the upcoming lead single 'Violescent' here:

Intriguing, will probably give it a listen later on. Rise in an weird label for this to be on, though. Maybe that's just me.

"Mastodon, At The Drive-In, QOTSA members join forces"

literally the only fucking way this could sound any worse is if it was one of the tools atdi shares with mars volta instead and if it was josh hommes instead of any other QOTSA member.

yes, that's what the article said.

Sounds pretty pedestrian, as far as this teaser is concerned. I sincerely hope it turns out cool, though.

"just because it's with a certain label doesn't mean they're automatically shit."

Of course. The clip sounds great but you just don't expect this kind of release, let alone personnel, to be coming from Rise as the other two posters right above me said.
