Best song they've done so far.
|

"The uploader has not made this video available in your country.
Sorry about that."
Aww.
|
| |
Where do you live, Cambodia?
|
| |
Nope, so it's pretty surprising. I'm not even in Germany where they block everything.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
Maybe on holiday...
|
| |
As I said, Karate is a disappointment. Boring.
|
| |
Nah. It actually has some structure.
|
| |
So did their other songs (minus their like their first 2 singles).
|
| |
This is pretty good. I kinda wish it was a little heavier but it's alright. The vocals sound better than ever
|
| |
"BABYMETAL please come to cambodia"
"Maybe on holiday..."
This website is pretty great sometimes.
|
| |
Both are blocked for me as well. I guess that's more of a blessing than anything else, considering this corporate 'band'.
|
| |
it's ok
|
| |
More Megitsune and Yuki Yuki Morning with less generic as fuck Metal tunes please.
|
| |
they should tour with Manowar
|
| |
yep this song is a total piece of shit what else is new
|
| |
your tears aren't new
|
| |
the chorus of Karate is good but the djentcore chugging is really obnoxiously out of place. The pop metal style of the rest of the song is fairly good, though.
also someone rec me good j pop metal if there is any pl0x. This weird junk has me in the mood for it for some reason.

"the chorus of Karate is good but the djentcore chugging is really obnoxiously out of place. The pop metal style of the rest of the song is fairly good, though."
This basically
The breakdowns on their debut album would come at the most ridiculous times and always sound so over the top they couldn't help but be fun but on here it sounds like just another genericore song
|
| |
And the other song sounds like a dragonforce ripoff
I am disappoint Babym/
|
| |
someguest the babymetal enthusiast
|
| |
true
|
| |
I find this enjoyable, there's a nice groove to it
|
| |
content warning: may kill several brain cells
|
| |
Not any more than being on here kills.
|
| |
Main singer lays down some super nice lines, the little kids are obnoxious in the most grating way imaginable, and the music is generic in every way. Babymetal track confirmed.
|
| |
How can someone actually say this is good music, this is terrible on all accounts, just fucking terrible...
|
| |
^(2)
|
| |
As I suspected from the preview released the other day, it doesn't have the energy of the better stuff from the first album. That's a dealbreaker.
|
| |
༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
|
| |
5/5 will listen to it again!
|
| |
I've certainly hear worse. Alright, maybe this album will be fun.
|
| |
This has got to be one of the best songs they have ever done right?
|
| |
ugh

It has moments where it sounds like some kind of Elena Siegman clone, which is not a bad thing, and then it's almost Amaranthe-like (which again is not terrible), but then those 2 annoying af girls come through with whatever shitty lyrics they might have written.
|
| |
Karate?
More like Djenrate
|
| |
...
diggin it
|
| |
god bless
|
| |
wow this group is dividing
|
| |
blocked in my country damn, also dude who uploaded the news: the links is fucked up, has a missing ":"
|
| |
^ It seems Sputnik likes to do that. To solve it you could eliminate the "https://" from your links in news articles.
|
| |
Me likey. The way the vocals flow is pretty sweet.
I really dont understand how people find this offensively bad. It's basically better-than-average anime intro music. Still superior to 90% of shit on the radio.

"And the other song sounds like a dragonforce ripoff"
But how can it be a rip off when it was written/performed by members of said band? Keep up bro.
Karate's a good song. It's a catchy, much more restrained version of Babymetal. I think there are still gonna be crazy moments on the album but overall I think this new album will be more of an attempt at maturing and honing their sound and of course they'll have mis-steps, but Babymetal are essentially the trope creators for what's now known as the idol metal movement in Japan (other bands like DeathRabbits, FruitPochette and Necronomidol have popped up since) so Babymetal will be constantly looking to be the defining force for the movement and its core sound's evolution.
|
| |
Lol they don't even write their own stuff. This just gets better and better
|
| |
Everyone knows that the core trio doesn't do the writing. They have a core team led by their manager who I was referring to.
|
| |
Listened to both, finally. Still really enjoyable stuff. Though Road of Resistance is SO DRAGONFORCE.
|
| |
I wouldn't be surprised if they went to bands like Crossfaith for help with this new album cos think about it: You're the manager in charge of recruiting songwriters for a band that you originally started for the Japanese market, but it's somehow taken off into a global sensation. You're going to want to start writing songs with a more global appeal than the standard (and very much experimental) J-Pop/metal hybrid that the first album had. So you're going to look to international musicians for help. Especially if they're Japanese musicians that have achieved international success off their own backs. Crossfaith are definitely one of those bands.
Although I still want to know if they'd recruited Carcass for a song cos that would be hilarious.
|
| |
K I've actually played the shit out of this, it's awesome.
|
| |
Karate that is
