so happy for cavey, seemed like some seriously bad luck to finally join up with a band and then break up after their next record.
songs ok, but not too impressive
| |
Ehhhh...at least the album artwork is cool.
| |
Cavey fits pretty well, as far as I know his range isn't too impressive, but his voice is strong and he can convey emotion pretty well, which works nicely with Erra's melodies. Song is decent but I'd like to hear one of the heavier tracks so I can get a real feel for how he fits.
| |
Song is decent, but didn't wow me. All things considered, the vocals are nice and enjoyable. I'll be checking this out at any rate.
| |
Thoroughly enjoying this. New vocalist is a great fit.
| |
So happy JT is continuing on! The song definitely needs a couple more hours of polish and the amount of Jesse's cleans annoyed the shit out of me. On top of that, I can definitely tell Alan Rigdon isn't on this record... Hopefully the entire album isn't like this.
| |
Alan Rigdon being absent might mean the difference.
| |
:///
erra? more like The Jesse Cash Experience
| |
Update: Alan Rigdon actually has a project he's been working on.

Check out the prepro video he put up 2 months ago. FUCK.

Solid track, but a bit too much clean vocals

Glad these guys are doing stuff again, they do proggy metalcore right

terrible song
| |
I think it's pretty decent.

I love the shit out of Augment, jam it at least a couple of times a week for the last 6 months or so.
This sounds...meh....the lead guitar work sounds like Scale the Summit, the screams sound less powerful than the previous vocalist.
| |
This is really underwhelming. Terrible compared to Augment and Moments of Clarity. Not a fan of the harsh vocals at all, production is pretty bad (hopefully that'll change when they release the album), and the clean vocals aren't very catchy like they usually are. Guitar work's not bad but I know they can do better.
| |
Something is just a little off compared to the rest of their releases.
| |
JT Cavey is a top drawer vocalist but everything about the production on this is poor. Must do better.
| |
It's no "Pulse," but it'll do nicely. Well done gentlemen.
On a side note, this looks good for another Ghost Atlas album. Also great (potential) news!
| |
It's enjoyable, but underwhelming. Not nearly as good as the first tracks from their past 3 albums (White Noise, Alpha Seed, Dreamcatcher).
| |
Lol sounds like ERRA to me.
| |
i miss the impulse lineup so much
| |
Yea not as good as ERRA usually sounds. Still excited to see them with BoO.
| |
Lol you can tell a difference? I mean... the hook isn't as "hooky" but the unclean vocalist on Augment wasn't any better than this dude. Atleast imo
| |
They just dropped the title track and it is outstanding.
| |
Title track is chill as feck.
| |
The title track would be good if not for the shitty chorus.
| |
i like the chorus. title track rules. really laidback and chill.
| |
To each their own, I guess. It's just kinda cheesy to me. The rest of the song is really cool and chill.
| |
Luminesce is a very good song for this particular lineup. Drift, on the other hand, is pretty terrible overall. I like the shift to more clean vocals (I like a 70/30% clean/growl ratio), but I wish they gave the keys to Jesse Cash. Sounds like JT Carvey has polyps.
| |
jesse has been shoving the keys up his ass ever since rigdon left, this band hardly even sounds like erra anymore
