Ritchie Blackmore Introduces Live Band

2015-11-09 by manosg EMERITUS | 14 Comments
Legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore revealed earlier this year that he is going to perform four shows in Europe, on which he will play Deep Purple and Rainbow material. Two shows will take place in Germany on June 17 and 18, one in the UK on June 25 while the location of the fourth one hasn’t been specified yet.

Blackmore’s band will consist of Ronnie Romero (vocals), Jens Johansson (keyboards), David Keith (drums) and Bob ‘Nouveau’ Curiano (bass).

Listen to vocalist Ronnie Romero covering Deep Purple's "Stormbringer" below.

So yeah news title sucks but couldn't come up with something better within the character limits.

haha I'll change the title if anything better comes to mind. Needles to say, I'm not a big fan of the lineup.

To be honest, I don't know anyone but him. Not very interested in any Blackmore material besides some cuts from Deep Purple and "Rising".

Always hoped he would cooperate at least with Paice for this project and maybe with Hughes or Bob Daisley. Both rule pretty hard still. But it's cheaper I guess to do it with less known guys.

The vocalist is pretty good though. Blackmore always has an ear for good singers.

A good alternative for the title would be:

"Ritchie Blackmore introduces live band"

On another note, good news.

Great vocalist man, agreed. I am surprised he is only going to perform in four shows. I'd expect more tbh.

Guy's chilean so I really wish him the best, he certainly sounds awesome, Blackmore really knows how to pick vocalists
