Weird. I was just listening to them on Apple music yesterday. Have not thought of them since the early 00's.

Who the fuck knew this band was still together in the first place?

They have some good stuff. Some of the stuff on Passenger is on regular rotation in my playlists. Shame about them breaking up, guitarist sounds like he wants to do straight up guitar wankery for the sake of guitar wankery though so I don't think I'm gonna enjoy his new project whenever/if ever it happens.

I know the news is old, but I personally didn't know and thought it was worth knowing.

Personally, I thought Mechanical Spin Phenomena was this band's best, although the albums Mnemic released after that weren't too bad. Kind of a drag that this band's breaking up, even if they didn't bring much of anything new to the table.

Band hasn't been good since Passenger though.

I'd take Fear Factory (y'know, the band that basically inspired these guys) over Mnemic any day of the week, tbqh. The only record that hasn't sat well with me was Sons of the System, and even Passenger has its instances of outright meh.

I thought "the audio injected soul" was a very good album, but then the vocalist left, they released two "meh" albums and the last one was a lot better.

He's in a band called Scamp now and they're pretty solid. The Deadcalm was very good.

new vocalist is good too, but he overdoes it with the cleans at times. Loved Passenger though.

I prefer Michael myself, though Guillaume's alright. His wimpified clean vocals are a bit uneasy at times, but his growls get a pass from me. And now I'm curious to try out Scamp.
