Lost Salt Blood Purges unveils Only the Youngest Grave 2015-09-25 by Black Daimon | 10 Comments | Melbourne-based experimental artist Lost Salt Blood Purges has officially announced their upcoming album, Only the Youngest Grave. The album is slated for release on January 1st, 2016.
Along with this announcement, they're also streaming the album's opening track 'Oneiric'.
Pre-orders for the album will go up next month via Bandcamp.
Says Purges,
"Only the Youngest Grave is a double album dedicated to life, dreams and death.
The disparity of melody and dissonance and how they affect each other.
The album explores a vast amount of genres from my obsession with tape music and improvised jazz and noise rock, to softer ambient passages, neofolk and tribal and ritual music. It features many guest collaborators as well as stunning hand-drawn artwork by Ov Exvn Infërnvz.
Disc one, Oneiric, is more visceral, alive, feeling.
Disc two, Lethean, is largely reflective, droning, wandering."
