neither, nice dig mort
| |
Super shocked how much i ended up digging this album. those singles were some interesting choices... Vice Grip is still a head scratcher that I just have to wonder "why"about, but there's some serious fun to be had here, and Winston is a beast as usual
| |
You need to add : after the https, it's somehow gone when you open the link
| |
A Deathless Song and Crushed are top notch songs.
Really surprised how the album turned out after the laughable Vice Grip.
| |
Bet it's actually shit
| |
album's tight. Writing On the Walls is a hell of a pop song. and the last three tracks finish the album very strong.
| |
cool album
| |
Writing on the Walls threw me off the first time.. still unsure of how i feel about it, but the album's definitely unique and intriguing, which is way more than you could ever say for the band
| |
So far I dig it. I've always been an advocate of heroic melodies in metal and Parkway seems to be trying to sell on it now. I'll buy!
| |
The last song on this is pretty amazing, I hope they do more of that stuff on their next record
| |
Good stuff!
| |
bad feelings about this
| |
hey i dont see a link to the stream on either parkway or epitaph records pages and the link here doesnt work
edit: nvm it was a bit lower on epitaphs timeline but its there
| |
Vice Grip still isn't good, but after about listening to half the album I'm surprised at how much I am liking this. Was not feeling this at all with Vice Grip and Crushed being released at singles.
| |
"Really surprised how the album turned out after the laughable Vice Grip"
Easy. Simply by not yelling "YEAAAAH YEEEEEE OOOOOOAA YEEAAAAAAHHH" the entire duration of the album.
| |
Lol this is horrible
| |
Yeah this is really really bad
| |
Wtf happened to this band? "Crushed" is embarrassing.
| |
I'm sure they put a ton of effort into this but wow, this is bad.
| |
Shit, reviews are mixed now I have to actually listen to it and make up my own mind.
| |
Always a bad idea, just follow the hivemind and you're set for life
| |
album is their worst for sure
| |
I've heard a lot of good chatter about this record. Atlas sounded competent but stale so I'm glad to see them try new things.
| |
Much better than Atlas, but it's still a 3/5.
| |
Meh
| |
I would agree that "Crushed" is the low point of the album, but it finishes strong. Both "Vicious" and "A Deathless Song" is among the best they've ever written.
| |
This is getting alot of hate. I think it's a nice change of pace. I don't want the same breakdowns over and over and over
| |
Removed HTTPS to fix the link

Writings on the wall is the worst imo. The rest is great
| |
King 810 called, they want Writings on the Wall back.
| |
halfway through this already and nothing is catching my attention. This is bland as fuck so far. I swear if these guys drop another dud like they did with Atlas.....yikes
| |
yeah this is trash.
| |
dont get the hate, I coasted past their last few cause they were just killing and horizons rehashes. It’s great to hear something different. Sure it doesnt always work but it’s far from boring. And crushed has grown on me in a major way, though its definitely still on the weaker end of things. This album will go off in a live setting
| |
I expect the last song on the album to be amazing, as it always tends to be
| |
Actually it's like the worst song on the album
| |
The last song is the 2nd worst
| |
a lot of the songs on here feel a lot longer than they really are
| |
the verse on the closer sucks but its still one of the better tracks
| |
kind of a boring album, though I did like the first two songs.
| |
I like the rest of the album. Just hate writings on the wall and a deathless song
| |
"a lot of the songs on here feel a lot longer than they really are"
because these guys forgot how to be interesting, so even the shortest songs feel like they drag on due to how boring they are
| |
I actually didn't mind the last song, then again I haven't listened to this much so that might change but it wasn't awful.
| |
Anyone who has ever picked up a drop tuned guitar could write 80% of Destroyer in like an hour. Quite possibly the most unimaginative riff ever.
