In all honesty I actually like what they've put out so far, definitely sounds like something straight off The Hunting Party IMO.

Sounds like a faster, more aggressive 'Drown'. I dig. On another note, I always like the imagery they use in their videos. It's a little less generic than most of the genre, so points for that, too.

Not creative imho but their stuff is pretty damn catchy. This album is going to be both disappointing and a guilty pleasure for me.

I was never a fan of Count Your Blessings, Snide, but this album just isn't going to do for me.

I like the obvious nods to the True Detective opening at the beginning of the video.

I like this a lot. Honestly this band is better at making lighter music. Their heavy stuff has always been cheesy as hell to me.

They had some fun songs but generally their best songs have been their more melodic ones, like Crucify Me, It Never Ends, And the Snakes Start To Sing, etc.. This style of music suits their talents more imo.

Happy Song has been growing on me and this really isn't too bad, either. They're absolutely fine tunes as long as I pretend BMTH weren't liable for the tracks' existence; the same can be said for Drown.

This wouldn't bug me so much if 'Of Mice & Men' hadn't already taken on the mantle to be the second coming of 'Linkin Park'. We don't need three bands going down this direction, the original and the replicant is more than enough thanks. That said the song is not bad at all, if this is the future of their sound they do it far better than many out there.

I miss the growls, but get why that's not a thing anymore. Like the other single more still, but seems like this will be a really unoffensive album.

Album will end up being a 3.5/5 for me at this rate. I like the songs, they're just not as experimental/unique as I'd hoped them to be but they do the style better than OMM. None of these newer songs have topped Drown, but at least that's something to look out for on the album.

I cannot fathom how they went from Sempiternal to this. And it seems his voice got worse. Drown isn't even that good, but it's better than these last two shit songs. I was really just hoping for an album that would be half songs like "The House of Wolves" and the other like "And The Snakes Start To Sing" . Oh well. Back to hating this band.

I am a long-time lurker, but I finally took the plunge and signed up to the boards to comment on this. I know CYB gets a lot of hate, but I personally am very fond of this album. Yes, the screaming gets tiring over time, and the lyrics can be extremely amateur, but there is a certain charm to this album that never goes away for me. This is the only album of theirs that they are attempting to shred, and while there is an abundance of breakdowns, there are also solid riffs and solos that are simply absent in their subsequent albums. Oli's lyrics also contain some nice metaphors, such as biblical plagues and Greek mythology. I also love the instrumental, 15 fathoms.

All in all, there are some of us out there who appreciate the album for what it is. Music is music, and I am tired of people being people for bashing this album for no legit reason other than to be part of the trend.

Sempiternal was their best, this sounds like 3 steps back. The butt rawk is strong here.

Every time these guys release an album I really dig it, but after the initial phase of liking it, I never go back to it again. That will likely happen with this too.

I dug this song. Happy Song was pretty cool too. Drown was my least favorite, it just felt so plain.

This one sounds like sempiternal 2.0 to me. Sounds like something in between Can You Feel My Heart and Go to Hell.

Can You Feel My Heart and Go To Hell had better songwriting than this imo. They were more experimental and the vocals didn't sound as edited. Those two songs also did not remind me of LP in the same way that this and the bridge of Chasing Rainbows do.

They have made a radio friendly song that's actually good and bearable to listen. I'm loving this direction.

Thought the new album would be perfecting that there is a hell / sempiternal but nah. I'm done with this band. Got a couple great songs out of them though. R.I.P.

Catchy stuff so far a lot more replay value than most of their stuff pre Sempiternal. This, Drown and Happy Song are all pretty good and memorable. Just hope they don't fuck up Drown with the re-recorded version
