wow
| |
RIP
| |
There Was a Hell had awesome tunes wtf happened
| |
really, this is pop-rock..? lol
Song is good. Excited for the album
| |
is it bad that the kids chanting in the background reminded me of Refused's Francafrique
| |
not really bad for btbam bmti bmth
but def bad for refused
| |
Omg this can't be real
| |
i dont even know what this is
| |
what the fuck did I just listen to
| |
it was good for what it was you try hard phaggots
| |
no it wasn't you wannabe tough-guy
| |
ew the chorus is soo middle school nu metal.
| |
like this song is any surprise to people who've heard drown before lol
the chorus is catchy what more do you guys want bmth aiming for the radio this time ayyy
| |
This is the shit they go for after Sempiternal?
fuck
| |
This is a fucking atrocity
| |
Nah this is pop rock and it's bad
| |
This is totally alright. Nothing incredible of course, but will be something to look forward to.
| |
Yup, it blows.
| |
holy fuck, i paused chon to listen to this
| |
just cause you're going for radio play doesn't mean it needs to be this shit dear fuck
| |
This isn't terrible
| |
Fucking radio rock? Jesus, fuck this band. At least with their previous albums I could respect that they were making original music and not just trying to get on the radio. RIP
| |
original? not by a longshot but they sure have been squandering their potential since after There is a Hell
| |
There is good music that aims to be catchy. There is good music with radio designs.
This is bad music.
| |
This is is strange but kinda awesome.
| |
awful sounds like three days grace
| |
Really hated this.
| |
It wasn't bad, then again I didn't care for anything before sempiternal.
| |
It wasn't bad, then again I didn't care for anything before sempiternal. [2]
| |
Ahahaha this is terrible.
| |
I dug it. The cheerleader thing that pops up in songs needs to end though. Adds fucking nothing.
| |
surprise, sempiternal wasn't that great people.
| |
This is what we get from a sober oli, huh?
| |
he needs to start shooting windex into his veins again because this is terrible
| |
That was so fucking bad. And I really liked Sempiternal.
| |
Good song.
| |
I don't mind this, probably won't be indicative of the whole album though. I think the production sound's a little fucked, but that could just be me.
| |
Song is OK. Oli got married yesterday
| |
from the very second i clicked play i knew this wouldnt be very good.
this is such a regression ugh
| |
Ok, now bring that horizon back
| |
i honestly dont really know what the fuck this was. sempiternalfdg had me kinda excited for what they were doing next but ive lost all interest
| |
gtg time to wrist pce
| |
wow that was bad
| |
From mediocre metalcore to abysmal radio rock
| |
Really not that different from sempiternal. Probably the smallest jump in sound they've had so far. You people are dumb.
Song is ok. 7/10
| |
Pop rock lol stfu. Alt metal maybe
| |
I think it's fucking awesome
| |
People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything
| |
"People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything "
I normally agree, but I'm pretty sure everyone is hating on this because it's genuinely bad.
| |
It's not the worst song I've heard this year, but this sure as balls isn't that good, either. The band should count their blessings now 'cause they won't last.
| |
Generic.
| |
"People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything "
I normally agree, but I'm pretty sure everyone is hating on this because it's genuinely bad.
[2]
| |
I wouldnt turn it off if i heard on the radio, but I would probably never listen to it any other way, its pretty shite
| |
genuinely enjoyed this. fun song
| |
i actually quite like it
| |
It's nu metal and I love it
| |
lordy lordy
| |
"People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything"
Not really people on this site enjoy and listen to probably multiple times the albums, genres etc. than an average person does
| |
hahaha fuck this band
it's funny seeing fanboys harp over a shitty band getting shittier, nice
| |
I dig this.
| |
undeniably horrible lol
| |
*sigh*
| |
Drown's the only good single so far
| |
remember when they implied Sempiternal would have Mogwai and Explosions influences? bahahaha
| |
Sweet jesus. And not in a good way
| |
His softer singing didn't really fit with this song, same with the cheerleader part.
Not bad though.
| |
Drown is the only good single so far [2]
| |
This sucks so hard.
| |
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but if you like their older stuff, then just listen to their old albums
| |
huh
well this is weird
| |
I loved Count Your Blessings when it came out, but now if I listen to it, it seems so.... generic. The shock wore off long ago. Suicide Season was okay, didn't bother with the album after that and Sempiternal was okay.
This, though... I don't know what the fuck this is.
| |
This is what the edgy scene kids throw chairs around for.
| |
This...was okay. Not mind blowing by any means, but it's fun and catchy. My only complaints would be the chanting and that the profanity sounds very forced.
| |
"he needs to start shooting windex into his veins again because this is terrible"
lmaooooooo oh fuck. I'm dead
| |
Okay I believe you
| |
i cant even listen to this
| |
Saved my life.
| |
honestly if you heard Sempiternal and Drown, you should have seen this coming MILES away. It was obvious they were gonna pull this shit.
and tbh the song really isn't bad at all.
| |
I absolutely love the soft singing that's been multitracked like a million times even though it's a really nondescript chorus and the production makes it hard to make out the lyrics. And I love the chanting too. And I didn't mind the mildly butt rocky sound.
| |
plastic fans
| |
they're officially a radio rock/nu metal band now
| |
"People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything"
or that other people have found happiness
| |
Hated this at first listen and i dont like the chanting but chorus and end part rules
| |
"remember when they implied Sempiternal would have Mogwai and Explosions influences? bahahaha"
That was mostly Jona tbh, then he got kicked out and they did their own thing.
| |
The more I listen the more I'm starting to kinda like this song lol
| |
metal.
| |
they are british?
fuck
| |
This is actually growing on me
| |
The more I listen the more I'm starting to kinda like this song lol[2]
| |
2kvlt4me
| |
RIP
| |
Pharrell Williams version is better.
| |
Everyone who heared Deathbeds would've felt this one coming. I love the drummer's vibe. I absolutely hate the lyrics, man, I'm sure they can't get any worse. Everything else is okay, I feel like they're trying to pull Deftones' heavy-soft balance on this one and they didn't suceed doing it.
But it's slightly above average, 2.7. Looking forward to hear the album.
| |
THE ONLY THING I REALLY KNOW
I CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT
| |
ech it's alright. Vocals and structure are pretty bland but it's catchy enough.
I had an inkling after Drown they'd go a little more in this direction. I actually really dug Drown though, but I'd have preferred something more akin to what they're known for than this BMTH-brand genericore.
| |
sounds like some early 2000's grunge rock. god damn this sucks
| |
Pop rock? That guitar tone is way too heavy to appeal to Avril Lavigne fans.
I enjoyed the song. There are stand out elements certainly but they're clearly trying to incorporate different influences into a generic framework. I appreciate that.
Anyway, the mix could afford to boost the vocals a couple dBs. I'd also like them to cut the guitar a couple dBs as well.
| |
best song ever
| |
it was okay!
| |
ugh...
| |
seriously best song ever
| |
drown was more engaging
| |
"surprise, sempiternal wasn't that great people."
Ding ding ding! Liked them far more on their first EP and debut, but I can see this doing really well on the radio so kudos to them I guess for changing up each release I guess.
| |
Surprised people don't know they're British tbh. Oli's accent is pretty obvious.
| |
well, he does say 'goddamn' in this song....
| |
In no way do I care for this band, but how is it radio rock if it says fuck and goddamn like 15 times each? I doubt they'll play that
| |
^Seether's "Fake It" used "fuck" in its chorus and that song became a massive hit
| |
Hopefully they'll stop censoring eventually, just broadcast a disclaimer in the commercials and go from there.
| |
holy fuck RIP BMTH what a shit song, nickleback tier of shit
| |
Also Maroon 5 has "This Summer's Gonna Hurt like a Motherfucker" all over the radio
| |
Christ, people need to stop blowing everything up. I'd expect this reaction from a FIR single. This honestly isn't that bad.
| |
very mediocre
| |
officially signed with Columbia Records
| |
People on this site just struggle to enjoy anything [393950595] It's not an atrocity by any means, fucking over reacting like usual.
| |
holy fucking shit this was bad
| |
was that really necessary?
| |
Opinions r fun
| |
this is sad, I was hoping 'drown' was a one of single type sound....
| |
This is getting weird amounts of attention. Fucking Fantano put out a "track review" lol
"holy fuck RIP BMTH what a shit song, nickleback tier of shit"
top kek
| |
I didn't realize BMTH had such a huge sput fan base :^)
| |
I got into BMTH with the release of "There is a Hell", I've slowly come to appreciate SS and even a little bit of CYB. I liked a lot of the songs on Sempiternal as well. I guess I just like this band though and their evolution is interesting
| |
I think it's an enjoyable song TBH - deathcore style (CYB) was too sloppy and they didn't do it all that well, keyboard infused post-hardcore (Semp) wasn't all that enjoyable for me even though I see it as a huge step in their evolution.
But this is fun, it's heavy, his vocals don't sound forced - it's like a much more accessible Suicide Season - and that works for me.
| |
THIS IS SAND PIT TURTLE
| |
suicide season is their best
| |
Yeah it's about time we realize CYB was trash. Complete trash.
| |
suicide season will always be their best album. there is a hell... was ok.
| |
There is a Hell is much more mature and intricate SS. Never understood why anyone prefers SS
| |
They were taking themselves way too seriously on there is a hell. Ss will always be the best because it's blatantly over the top and heavy as fuck for no reason
| |
Taking themselves too seriously? How so?
| |
how is a song like fuck taking themselves too seriously?
| |
how is a song like anthem taking themselves too seriously?
| |
Sempiternal was so good, this though...oh my fucking god what is this shit.
| |
language
| |
did you just 'language' us
| |
This song is so disappointing, jeesh. Sempiternal was great.. loved the post-metal aspects they put into it.. this crap just took the genre back another 15 years.
| |
lol awful
| |
Meh, I guess it isn't really bad or anything, but it's not terribly interesting.
| |
did you just 'did you just 'language' us' me?
| |
this shit is trash guys dont even try and defend it
| |
Wait, was I supposed to think this was going to be good?
| |
laughable this site heralded sempiternal but hate this style.. song could've come straight off that album
| |
I thought Semp was pretty bad too tbh
| |
@fish. Agreed. I don't see how this is any different from Sempiternal soundwise.
| |
Still sounds like metal to me. Not saying it's good or bad though. I thought it could of been a lot worse.
| |
Drown sounded like a Just Surrender rip off. But it was still pretty good. This is alright. Don't agree with the pop rock claim tho. There's 1 or 2 pop influences, but alt metal is closer.
| |
i mean personally, i always liked SS because I enjoy metalcore, and it's the most metalcore album that they have
| |
Nah this is basically straight up pop metal.
| |
I can't believe that he's going to sound like that live. Dude can't sing, we know that. Well, maybe he took lessons or something lol. Lyrics are silly but I guess that's deliberate. Clearly aiming for the radio with this song. What I really don't like is the choir...shit ruined the 3rd Thirty Seconds To Mars album. Hope they don't take it too far like Jared did.
| |
Sounds like Fish is completely absence from this. Shame, i thought bringing him in the band would signal adventurous change after what he had done on sempiternal
| |
na fish is there hes just buried further down in the mix, whereas on sempiternal he was at the forefront a lot
| |
They should have fleshed out the ideas from Sempiternal imo
| |
LOL, wtf
| |
Doesn't matter how many times I hear this song, it's still boring as shit.
| |
Did this song get written in the late 90's/early 2000's and just get released now or something
| |
hard rawk
| |
Well releasing this song definitely had their desired intention. I have never seen this much buzz on sputnik about BMTH
| |
ngl I love that cheerleader thing at the start, catchy af
| |
They should have fleshed out the ideas from Sempiternal imo [2]
| |
I hated Sempiternal save one or two tracks and this is even worse. Just die already.
| |
This site is full of the shittiest people.
It's not a bad song. If you prefer their older material, and this isn't your cup of tea, that's fine, but that doesn't make this a bad song. It's also an obvious direction for the band to go. They're not going to make Suicide Season/CYB albums for their whole career. They're young and have achieved quite a bit of success in their time, but there's no real future in their older sound. It may be what myself and a lot of their fans prefer, but I understand why they're going for a more mainstream sound.
Having said that, does this remind anyone else of Norma Jean's The Anti Mother?
| |
This site is full of the shittiest people. I really want to change my password one night when drunk so I can't login.
The song is okay I guess, nowhere near the strongest stuff I've heard (Suicide Season) and the production is muddy. I know Oli won't pull off the vocals love and that's what bugs me.
| |
π°π²π΅π΄π±πΈπ°π²
| |
Album will be interesting. I feel like they've never really used Matt (drummer) to his full potential though.
| |
"laughable this site heralded sempiternal but hate this style.. song could've come straight off that album"
Not even close.
| |
Shhhh spec
| |
Oli's cleans are getting better and this is oddly catchy, at least it isn't horribly boring like a good bulk of Sempiternal.
| |
it's not that it's a bad song (it's not) it's just not really BMTH... like make a new band with a new name and call it your side project ffs.
this sounds nothing like the BMTH most fans like
| |
That was p bad
| |
