I've never seen these guys as anything special. Messengers was cool, but I was probably 19 or 20 when that came out. They don't seem to have change their style much since then, but my taste has changed a lot. This is okay.

Best ABR since Constellations. Very melodic. These guys are one of the few legit metalcore bands I still listen to aside from Protest the Hero and maybe Dillinger if you count them.

I've loved ABR for a long time, but the course has been ran.

I'll stick to Messengers and Leveler.

I've been a fan of ABR ever since Constellations. I recognize the bands positives and negatives but I still cannot understand why Leveler gets so much hate here. Yes, R&R is a much better album than Leveler but I still don't understand why so many people hate that album.

Because Leveler is the very definition of no musical progression.

all their albums are the definition of no to little musical progression

Toondude10

if that were the case then they'd be a metal version of Nickelback

Mort.

no they wouldnt

because abr are actually good, but they're just spectacularly safe (forever inside their own comfort zone musically). you know what your getting with abr always and from what ive heard of this album so far theres no difference here.

I think they actually experiment more with album tbh.

I haven't loved anything this band has done since Thrill Seeker. They're not bad, but they just do nothing for me.

Going to give it a listen soon. Haven't really listened to them since I last saw them live back in 2013. It was a great performance, although when I'm listening to their studio albums like some of you guys have said, I've come to know what I'm going to get out of an ABR album, good stuff, just no surprises.

I've only listened to a little bit of the new album but so far you can definitely hear ABR trying to change things up a little bit. So far, enjoying the little changes. It's definitely still ABR but things do sound a little different.

Constellations and R&R are top notch but there was nothing that could get me through all of Leveler. I'm pretty amped for this release. m/

I guess it's just me. I've seen them live 4 times, and I've been listening to them since I was 18 when Messengers came out. I just am getting burned out on them, so I can't blame the band, just myself.

Stopped listening to these guys a couple years ago and there really isn't much that changed since Constellations. If it wasn't for their past efforts this would be pretty great, but the lack or progression is kind of tiring. But even if it's nothing new this is infinitely more enjoyable than the new BTBAM. At least this has some killer riffs and some feels.

After redownloading itunes and not being able to log in with my apple ID I made years and years ago, I think I'm just going to have to give up and wait until a stream elsewhere is available. This apple radio shit is getting real annoying.

What about Spirit Breaker, Echoes, and the title track off of Rescue & Restore? Are these songs not completely experimental? Especially Rescue & Restore?? If you listen to Messengers and then Rescue & Restore right after, you will hear a pretty huge fucking difference.
