Anthrax teases new album

2015-01-28 by Cryptkeeper | 19 Comments
Last week, Anthrax offered up a toast to the late Dimebag Darrell on his birthday, but also revealed that they were in the studio to work on their new album. The band
didn’t waste any time getting to work as a new video has surfaced showing that they have indeed begun laying down new music.

In the short video posted below, guitarist Scott Ian teases the fact that recording has begun with an intro leading into a chaotic recording opening. But the clip
quickly fades to black after a second or two of Charlie Benante‘s drums, Ian’s guitar and Frank Bello‘s bass.

The group is currently working with producer Jay Ruston on the follow-up to their 2011 release ‘Worship Music.’ Along with the trio of Ian, Benante and Bello, the group
also features lead vocalist Joey Belladonna and guitarist Jon Donais.

The band has been writing and demoing material over the past few months and plan to record right through the holidays and into January, with their eye toward a 2015
release. The disc will be the band’s eleventh studio offering and will be released by Megaforce Records.

Jammed Worship Music like mad. This should be good.
The staff is useless tho, I'm literally posting this news from fucking Loudwire. What are they getting paid for?

no one gets paid from this website except for the owner, and the staff are staff reviewers, not staff news article writers.

Damn, that's just exactly how I feel about it tbh. Looking forward to this though.

I dug Worship Music. Hopefully, this will be good, too.

I'm in the minority, but I wasn't as keen on Worship Music as everyone else. I gave it a 3.5, and it was the best record they'd done since Persistance, but, honestly, that's not saying much...

I hope this one is more "thrashy"

I need to revisit Worship Music. Every time I start listening to it, I find myself going back to PoT or Sound of White Noise.
