I'm keeping high hopes, Dream Theater are one of my favorite bands, and havent dissappointed me at all, even with Octavarium, which i consider pretty damn good.

I think Constant Motion is pretty good as well. Nowhere near Dream Theater's best but pretty good. I'm guessing that this will be a better release than octavarium but i honestly havent a clue from just one single.

Hell, the rest of the album can be way different than this song.

DT have really taken a good turn. Judging from the other song leaked (cant remember what it was called), it sounds like they will be getting back to some good old prog-metal tunes and lots of solos.

Let's fight the power Altmer. But the songs that I'ver heard were very average.

I wasn't happy at all with this single, but Petrucci's few words about the album in a couple interviews were enough to make this my most anticipated album.

Yeah, the dark eternal night was great (it was leaked on youtube for aboout 18 hours). Very heavy, almost death metal-like in the breakdowns

well, i still enjoyed costant motion (love that opening riff) but maybe we'll get lucky and the other songs will be better than it. The first single is often the worst, or amaong the worst songs released off an album.

Just heard "THe Dark Eternal Night" on youtube.

goddamn, you were right starclassic...fucking heavy by DT standards. The opening riff and the riff after the final chorus actually reminded me a bit of Opeth, call me crazy.

Damn, you spoke the truth starclassic, th dark eternal night was damn heavy by DT standards. and it kicked ASS! Way better than Constant Motion. Fucking awesome chorus. The opening and closing riffs almost remind me of Opeth to be honest.

I also found a vid on youtube where four short clips of songs from systematic choas were perfromed. Two were the dark eternal night and constant motion, but it also howed a little of "Forsaken: and "The Ministry o Lost Souls"

Forsaken seemed really awesome, very fast with lots of ssoloing by Petrucci, very catchy.

The latter song seemed incredibly epic with some beautiful orchestral elements from the keyboards. It almost reminded me of something off of "Scenes From a Memory." This song only had about a 5 second preview though, not much was heard, but it's a 15 minute long song (14:57 to be precise) so there obviously will be much more to it.

If you're a true DT fan you could never say DT sucks, so quit acting like a macho shit head, and fucking notice when there is some talented shit going on in front of your face but you're too fucking idiotic to realize it. If you like bands like slipknot and mudvayne then you obviously like listening to the same thing over and over and fucking over again. If you can't appreciate DT, you are a ball sucking faggot. DT kicks ass, and anyone who says anything to the contrary doesn't know what real musicianship is. You are all of course naturally entitled to your own opinion, but keep your bashing to yourselves. Going around giving bad reviews just pisses people off. I fucking love Dream Theater because they always are creating different things and aren't afraid to not be "metal" enough for you faggots, and just make songs with meaning and talent. If you are interested in listening to a band that puts heart and soul meaning and effort into talented music, fucking listen to DT. Not your droning noise of mainstream bullshit you keep saying is good.

lol, i do gree with you though. DT may be my second favorite band of all time behind CHildren of BOdom right now, though i may like Opeth a little more as well. Those are my top three though.
