beginning sounds like just like slipknot
|
| |
I hope they pick it back up hah hah hah hah
|
| |
Initially, I dont like this one as much as the other two. Not turrible though.
|
| |
Vocals at the beginning were eve worse than before. Somehow, he sounds even more annoying there. They get better later on, but altogether it still doesn't sound amazing. This is not looking good for the band tbh.
|
| |
That middle section was cool but other than that pretty meh
|
| |
Terrible
|
| |
slowly losing faith in these albums...
|
| |
Yup.
|
| |
the chorus, solo, and bridge after the second chorus were all nice but the other half of the song was pretty stale
|
| |
Sotelo should move full time to FFTL now. He's ruining this band for me.
|
| |
That was incredibly average. I couldn't agree more with Insurrection
|
| |
Overall, I'm still enjoying the songs they have released so far, but this is definitely not the direction that I thought they would go. This "new" sound could just be the product of this being a concept album, where more liberties cannot be taken since cohesion is a necessity for telling a story over 16 songs (and two albums I guess)
I fully expect this album to get mediocre reviews, but the inevitable Periphery III should get back to what made Periphery a big prog name in the first place.
|
| |
slowly losing faith in these albums...
as if this band was ever good in the first place
|
| |
Make sure it plays, pretend to listen to it, terrible
|
| |
yeah fuck this band
|
| |
Idk what yall are talking about. This is pretty damn good. I could never get into them before.
|
| |
The fact that they keep dropping their songs evinces their own feelings regarding their songs' quality.
I'm left wondering that they might be more careful to make sure they don't erroneously drop their songs - thereby reducing their value and potentially breaking them - if they were confident in the quality of their songs.
Those poor, poor abused songs, constantly being dropped.
|
| |
This is awful just like all of the other music they put out. This is like pop music for progressive metal. The vocals are terrible and if they weren't so bad perhaps I would give the music more of a listen. As it is I can barely make it past a few songs. I'm sure they will have their fan base just like slip knot does. Yuck
|
| |
Pretty solid far from their best work tho
It seems like their getting a little lazy maybe
|
| |
The issue isn't Spencer's vocals, it's just the songwriting here is really stale, like most of PII. Vastly prefer the other two songs that have been released.
|
| |
if anything I think Spencers vocals have improved and are much more listenable than before.
|
| |
What ever happened to epic songs like Racecar and Erised? Plenty of the hundreds of djent bands that have popped up the past few years can match or top any of the 3 songs they've released so far. I know Periphery is better than this.
Also,
slowly losing faith in these albums [2]
|
| |
this is the best of the 3 songs released so far...damn why am i always 180 degrees from the consensus on sputnik?
|
| |
Lol slut's comment
|
| |
The only good thing this band has ever released is the instrumental version of PI, which is unfortunate because that album shreds so hard.
Double albums seem like a bad idea generally. Filler is basically inevitable in most cases, and it's not like Periphery is a band that's capable of breaking that trend. The solo/lick whatever at 2:40 is kind of cool I guess.
|
| |
Officially de-hyped for these albums
|
| |
back to what made Periphery a big prog name in the first place.'

not that false actually ^
|
| |
They're never going to top P1. Spencer has improved a lot since then but the rest of the band is so dull now. More Racecar and Letter Experiment please.
|
| |
well that was horrendous
|
| |
omg lol this is so fucking bad lmfao Spencers vocals are hilariously bad.
|
| |
These guys are never going to recover. Just...stale. Bad bad bad. I think I'm done paying them any attention now.
|
| |
"well that was horrendous"
made me lol
|
| |
"I hope they pick it back up"
Fucking lol.
|
| |
Circling your, circling your, circling your head,
Contemplating everything you ever said
|
| |
Is it just me or do the Juggernaut album covers look like they could be the covers for cheesy young adult sci-fi novels?
|
| |
puu.sh/dwwnP/f5c313defc.png
lol
|
| |
Racecar saved his life
|
| |
song made me punch my mom(dad)
|
| |
still waiting for the new pokémon games OST
|
| |
Those lyrics are bad. But man Spencer can sing and scream his ass off.
|
| |
Well that was pretty terrible holay.
|
| |
I don't know why I read the comments here anymore, ya'll just make me angry.
Song was awesome.
|
| |
What happened to songs like Letter Experiment braahhhs... And yeah Sikth does need to pound every "djent"
band in to submission.
|
| |
This song sounds the same exact way I expected it to
|
| |
gnome: a real band should thrash and crush djent to death*
|
| |
you know it's bad when insurfection turns on this band
|
| |
worst song so far
|
| |
Their vocalist makes their music sound cheesy...he really brings the band down....the instrumental albums are way cooler
|
| |
hahahahahaha holy shit the vocals [2]
Pretty awful, have yet to hear the second one but the first one sucked too. First album was pretty solid instrumentally but still never cared that much for them.
|
| |
The chorus is pretty neat.
|
| |
Cutman I always read your comments In my head with Bruce's voice from family guy lol
|
| |
I didn't really get the hate on Spencer, but damn he sounds bad in all the new songs released...
And instrumentals are really forgetable too. Looks like these albums will be on the same level as Clear...
|
| |
not great.
|
| |
Its ok but they can do better
and get a new singer already fuck dammit
|
| |
he can pick it up like he does in the chorus, but the intro is so stupid
he sounds like he's trying to just go in every direction at once
|
| |
vox still suck band will always suck if they continue to be protest the shitty wannabes with djunz
|
| |
This song just goes nowhere in my opinion, it just sounds like 5 tracks cobbled together with no coherency whatsoever.
I'm officially more stoked to hear FFTL's new album than this album...errr these albums.
|
| |
gotta disagree, about the coherency at least. it sounds like a full song- it has a standard pop structure (v-c-v-c-b-v-c) and everything.
my problem with it is that no section is that good, besides the bridge which is still nothing special compared to what theyve done before
|
| |
The vocals and this music are perfect if you want to make some money in the music industry. Other than that, you are very new to music if you like this. Either way to each his own.
|
| |
Spencer sounds great with fftl, it's just with Periphery he sounds goofy with the note choices and vocal lines coupled with the corny lyrics.
Scarlet, Erised and Ragnarok shows he can kill it.
|
| |
Dammit I hope that in the 2015 people stop derpin while I'm djentin, lololol.
Now seriously, song is ok, but is abussing of the nu metal and metalcore elements, album is going to be a
3,5 or a 4 at best
|
| |
The first two songs they released weren't bad but holy shit is this song bad.
|
| |
The problem here is that they are abusing of the elements used by nu metal and metalcore bands ( the elements used by slipknot and KSE are in the 70 % of the 3 track of juggernaut). Is not bad but I expect that the others will have more variety
|
| |
Still people saying this is the worst thing ever are funny as shit. They bitch too much about a thread that
in 2 or 3 years will dissapear
|
| |
I ain't got no type
Bad bitchez is the only thing that I like
I ain't check the price
I make my own money so I spend it how I
like
I'm just livin life
And let my mama tell it nigga I ain't livin
right
|
| |
I like your opeth reviews
|
| |
Ugh. PI was such a brilliant album and everything since then has been fucking shit (besides Clear... was actually kinda cool). They're further and further castrating themselves and losing all musical complexity. Shame.
|
| |
Man. Those vocals at the beginning are so bad.
|
| |
just at the beginning?
|
| |
