This is... bad. A shame, I liked Drown.
EDIT: actually, get rid of the rapping, and it's tolerable.
| |
uhhhhhh
| |
Yeah it's utter shite. BMTH trying to be Linkin Park.
| |
Drown was good this is shite
| |
I like everything but the vocals. I'm a sucker for that drum beat.
| |
Also I'm loving the instant messenger sounds in the fan upload, classic.
| |
this is british as shit. not really my thing.
| |
This isn't really something I'm a fan of, but this is obviously a one-off for the Drive re-score, and I'd be really surprised if this is the sound they go for on the next album.
| |
Anyone else check facebook?
| |
Pretty good actually. The rapping isn't as bad as most of the comments make out.
| |
thought this was going to be abysmal judging by all the comments but it's actually not bad.
| |
foreign beggars? oh goddddd
| |
So they basically listened to Enter Shikari and thought hey! Lets do that.
| |
As expected this is so badddd
| |
drown was decent, but this.... just no.
| |
Pretty sure even the band know this is shit. They probably just feel obligated to release this because it features that goon of a rapper.
| |
THIS IS A BLIZZARD OF BALLS!!! I can't believe humanity was capable of degrading itself so low as to produce such insulting catastrophe of ass!!
| |
This is awful
| |
Hmm not sure how I feel about this, but I felt sort of similarly about drown at first. The first half of this especially isn't my thing but the second half is nice. Will probably grow on me a little.
| |
this is still reasonably sepeternal imo
| |
This is fucking horrible. So many bands are doing those terrible half sing/shout vocals and that drum loop makes me want to stick knives in my ears.
| |
Guys, this is meant to be a one-off for the Re-Score of Drive. Yes, it's shit, but I'm interested how it'll fit in the film.
| |
So
Fucking
Bad
| |
the really serene bridge and the chorus are pretty cool but most of this is bad.
| |
Drown wasn't even good
| |
The beat sounds like it was made independently of the song and then they tried to force the two together and it really doesn't work. Other than that I actually kind of like it.
| |
i didn't think they would get any worse than they were
| |
oli's singing parts are pretty good but overall song is shiteeee
| |
1) Song is clearly just an experimental single for the soundtrack of Drive, so ppl saying RIP because of this...
2) Oli's voice sounds better than ever, so even though the song sucks, the chorus and quiet bridge are pretty sweet, and that's positive for the future
3) BMTH trying to be Linkin Park... how many times does this comment need to be posted about any metal band that decides they don't want to do only metal anymore? This sounds nothing like any of Linkin Park's material. Yes, there is rap; yes, there are electronics. And that's about as far as the similarities go.
| |
I think it's decent.
| |
"I'm a sucker for that drum beat."
check every drum and bass and jungle song ever if you want to hear better versions of that drum beat
| |
Yeah, I'd say decent too. Band never made much of an impression on me but I think this could have been worse.
| |
Nope. Nooope.
| |
22 seconds was all it took
| |
When the rapping stops and the screaming starts it's enjoyable.
| |
it was good besides the chaotic electronica sound and the rapping
| |
i only will every listen to SS, never really got into anything else by them.
and even then i only listen to death breath and sleep with one eye open
| |
terrible
| |
For those who don't know, this song was recorded for a rescore of the film Drive that aired on BBC3 in the UK. It's not supposed to be a single or as such.
Either way the rapping is horrendous.
| |
Wow, and I thought drown was bad. This is just stupid and annoying.
| |
Yeah it's utter shite. BMTH trying to be Linkin Park.
Is more like BMTH trying to be enter shikari
| |
itt butthurt american wankers
| |
so I guess Sempiternal was all the good BMTH had in em....
| |
"check every drum and bass and jungle song ever if you want to hear better versions of that drum beat"
Yeah I used to listen to tons of d'n'b so anything with that cliché breakbeat thing going on instantly appeals to me.
| |
Bearing in mind the last two singles are just one off things relating to something, and not actually part of a progression in sound.... hopefully.
| |
Song started awkwardly, the rap wasn't the most tasteful quality of the song, but otherwise it isn't that bad. Comments are just abysmal, and unnecessarily vicious IMO.
| |
Shit song, what the fuck? Whose idea was it to include that rap verse
| |
Bring Me The Horizon doing an impression of Enter Shikari via Linkin Park.
| |
Wtf are they doing
| |
The problem is that the rapping style is an inherently "British" style, which a lot of Americans don't get, hence the success of Hacktivist in the UK. I don't think it's anything above decent but at least we know BMTH aren't gonna be abandoning the screaming like some people feared.
| |
itt one dirty redcoat

| |
"the rapping style is an inherently "British" style, which a lot of Americans don't get"
lol
| |
this is pretty fckin bad, it's like a foreign beggars remix of everything from sempiternal
| |
i get that they're trying different things but this just sounds like a weird enter shikari knockoff
| |
Are BMTH aping Enter Shikari now?
| |
Why the FUCK are they re-scoring Drive?
| |
Monies
| |
I'm giving you a nightcall
| |
not bad. Love the direction this band is heading.
| |
