Century Media directive for Nachtmystium pre-orders

2014-09-08 by Voivod STAFF | 20 Comments
Century Media Records has issued a statement regarding the people who had pre-ordered the latest Nachtmystium album The World We Left Behind directly from the Illinois based black metal outfit, but didn't get what they had paid for on release date or later.

The written statement is as follows:

Century Media Records understands that many people have not received their copies of ‘The World We Left Behind’ even though they pre-ordered the album directly from front-man, Blake Judd. We know that this is not only frustrating but also a let down to the fans of the band. So, we’d like to help out in this situation and deliver the fans their pre-ordered copies on the format that they ordered.

Please e-mail us at: nachtmystiumorders@centurymedia.com with proof of your order and we will get you your copy of the album on the format(s) that you ordered them on. We just ask that this e-mail address be used for issues with ‘The World We Left Behind’ band direct pre-order issues only. Blake will not be reading any of the e-mails and we will not be forwarding any e-mails about other items that Blake sold through his personal pages or the NACHTMYSTIUM Facebook page.

‘The World We Left Behind’ also marks the last album NACHTMYSTIUM has with Century Media Records. We wish Blake Judd the best of luck with all future endeavors, both musically and personally.

nice, props to them for doing this. my guess is that judd is being a fuckhead again and they dont want their reputation tarnished, but that's all speculation so of course dont take it as fact.

century media doesnt always sign the best bands, but they seem to be run be generally cool guys who dont want to screw people over.

Good on the label for stepping up when they could've easily done nothing.

I'll just reiterate from Voivod's bump of the other thread: Glad CM are being good guys about this, sad that Judd didn't turn over the new leaf I assumed he was going to at least try after acknowledging that he messed up in the past due to drug problems.

Sad that he still apparently hasn't gotten his act together, which I think is obvious and not just heresay based on CM's direct involvement. :-(

i just find it kind of amusing when people are surprised extreme metal musicans are dickheads

i mean to their credit, a lot of them are really chill, down to earth guys. but i mean, if you preordered it directly from judd and didnt expect to be screwed after the last debacle then idk what you were thinking.

why the fuck do people still order from this douchebag?!

He couldn't have been the only person to get the new album from.

Blake Judd is a piece of shit so that's no surprise. Good on Century Media for making things right.

tl;dr he's a lying drug addict who fucks over not only his fans but also his friends as well, and seems to have no problem with any of this

i'll reiterate: blake judd is a piece of shit

read his metal archives page as well, first thing it mentions is how he's a "prolific scammer"

More people complain about him than they do Crepusculo Negro not getting stuff out on time, so that should say something. ;-)
