I think it's false.

It looks like really cool art though, but it looks too much like it could have been rejected art for Lateralus. The swirls around the eye designs are exactly the same as the Lateralus eye design. I don't think that they would repeat old themes this obviously.

The logo looks sweet though, so I give it the benefit of the doubt, it may be true. Keeps in with their previous logos which are always simple.

Although, the line extending from the top of the "T" makes it look slightly like an "F" which makes it read "Fool." Subtle messages from the band? Maybe, but who knows.

Tool is so misterious... This probably isn't the final artwork design. I would never have notice the "Fool" message is you hadn't pointed it out.

who knows? i think that the artwork kicks ass, but i guess we wont know for sure until may 2nd. the only thing that makes me wonder is, they know that they screw with fans and everything, and about the false track listings. could they have revealed the actual artwork and track listing thinking that we'd all dismiss them as fakes?

I just checked out the Tool Live show from the Lateralus tour and the back drop is similar in theme, but very different. The 10 000 days "cover" is much better.

The artwork from the Lateralus tour, the backdrop, and the tapestries, and the Lateralus album cover, and the new album cover are all pieces of work done by Alex Grey. The backdrop is from a painting he did entitled "Collective Vision", the tapestries are from a series called "The Sacred Mirrors" and the new album cover is from a painting he did entitled "Net of Being". P.S. My 2 cents is since reputable companys like Amazon are posting the art work, and the actual artist is posting the artwork and the album title, I've got a strong feeling this is for real!This Message Edited On 03.24.06
