"Enclosure will be Frusciante's 11th solo record overall, and marks his fourth solo release into the foray of avant-garde electronic music."
On a scale of 1-10 how excited should I be?
| |
4?
| |
I wouldn't consider Letur-Lefr or To Record... to be avant-garde at all.
| |
Never heard any of Frusciantes solo projects, are they as funky as his work with RHCP?
| |
Ive heard one and it was a 3/5 doesn't mean I'm not hyping this hard
| |
Cool, PBX didn't exactly last with me... so if this is similar I'll get a few weeks/month of rotation before setting it aside. That's fine.
There'll always be the Empyrean.
| |
yesss
| |
Cool, even though PBX wore off quicker than I wanted to.
However, the release date seems to be April 8, not March 25.
| |
frooooooooooooooooosh
| |
Countdown to rudder-fest.
| |
there's a new track available for download as well on his website. it's a damn good tune.
| |
YES!
Interesting that he says it's his last of this phrase. What can we expect next from this great man?
| |
And holy shit, that song was better than anything off the last few records.
| |
Yeah, man, I really liked his past few releases but I'm thinking this is going to be his best release since The Empyrean. Of course, "Scratch" was written while he was writing/recording The Empyrean so that could be why it's so fucking good.
| |
Updated to include the track that was released as a free download.
| |
cool art
| |
Fucking YES
| |
scratch rules
| |
i've only heard To Record and Shadows Collide but this sounds awesome and i'll check it out
| |
get curtains yo
| |
Scratch has me so excited for this.
Get Curtains or the empyrean
| |
Song's got a nice riff, but it needs to be cut by a minute or a minute and a half.
| |
Yeah, it's a great track. I can see where the length could be a bit grating, but I personally didn't mind it. I get so lost in it that I didn't really realize how long it was until I actually looked at the track length in iTunes.
| |
Bahahaha, just noticed the lyrics at 5:16 after a couple replays. Well played, John, well played. I'll shut up now.
| |
this song is promising but damn I still can't comprehend post Empyrean John... such a weird style change to make, not that he was ever normal haha
| |
this song is aight but yeah his fascination with electronic beats is kinda weird
