@Gnarly they have members from Circa Survive, Finch, RXB so maybe if you like those bands, but really they're weird as fuck so it's hard to RIYL
@Calc TSOAF really have a constantly changing line-up with a core three-piece (Embree, Balling, Green) so maybe the dude from Finch won't be on this tour

I just hope they play all 4 acts of Tiger and the Duke. That's my favorite release of anyone involved in this band.

Chris Tsagakis, the drummer from R,X has been with them since the beginning as well. And if I remember correctly one of the Finch guitarists was involved with Tiger and the Duke but nothing else.

But definitely the best news in a hot minute. Pretty sure I'll be taking a road trip to Philly next spring.

This is the same case with me. I'm not huge into them and I've listened to a couple songs. I can literally walk to the AZ venue and get free tickets. So I'll probably end up going because I understand how rare this is and I'll probably be more into them by the time march rolls around.

@Xing check out Tiger & the Duke. It's really only 4 tracks but definitely the band's best IMO.

First third of that track is boring but the rest is ace

That's far from the best track on the album IMO. Heraldic Beak wins that for me somewhat easily.

But again, I think The Tiger and the Duke is the best release of anyone involved with the project.

I honestly think that's one of his best vocal performances, he doesn't annoy me there like in RXB, but it's a shame that he's mixed so damn low. Also that's the only TSOAF song he ever did vocals for unfortunately.

@TMobotron never said it was my fave from the album, On the Occasion of Wet Snow takes that cake for me. Not a massive fan of Heraldic Beak, instrumentally it's immaculate but the vocals just go nowhere and are boring

Yeah dude I didn't assume that it was your favorite or intend to talk down on that as a recommendation because I dig it a lot too, I just wanted to make it clear to Xing that there's plenty to get into from the group.

I hear you about Heraldic Beak though, it's definitely fueled by the instrumentation. I wouldn't call the vocals boring personally, but I get where you're coming from.

IDK sometimes I think it isn't my favorite, but it was the pre-release single that got me so hyped for the album at a time when I thought TSOAF was done as a group so I kind of have a special attachment to the track because I jammed it on repeat for ages. Plus I have the 7" that has it and the title track on the flip.

But in general T&D >, IMO

Ah ok fair enough, I only got into them post-Ocean and the Sun being released. I think that one's definitely my favourite but all three albums are incredible.

i really only liked the i the swan.... their music isn't very accessible.

@TMobotron I can get free tickets to the marquee because I work at asu's radio station and they give out lucky man tickets. Often times they'll have tickets that they won't use so they just give them to staff (me).
