Thirty seconds in and I'm already bored by the utter lack of energy in the music.

It's good, but not that good. I can't rate it more than a 3.

At this point I'm finding it hard to imagine giving it anything more than a 2.5 at most. Pretty much everything is bad on this record.

Well.. It's not as good as "In Waves" and comparing to the last 2 albums I think it's the weakest . One thing I have noticed the most is that David 's impact is too noticeable and it's not so good . Almost no growls on the record + David put is singing style on this record and it's not so good . Matt Vocals too weak.
Choosing David for the production wasn't a good thing to do...

I'll give this a listen because of nostalgia I have for this band but I doubt it'll be any good.

Shogun was definately their best. I love Kirisute Gomen.

Useless contribution to the conversation to say that I absolutely love this album.

Still think Ascendancy is my favorite record for nostalgia purposes since I still regularly spin it but this just adds to my endless satisfaction with this band. Can shuffle and love every single song.

I used to love this band. Shogun and Ascendency are my favorites. I'm just so bored by Heafy's vocals at this point.
