Primus hint at new album with former drummer 2013-10-08 by Flyboy | 20 Comments | In a series of exciting Primus events that just went down in the course of a month, it appears that drummer, Tim "Herb" Alexander (who's work can be heard on Seas Of Cheese, Pork Soda, Tales...etc) is returning to the kit to what many call the "classic" Primus line-up.
His seat was kept warm by one Jay Lane who played on 2011's Green Naugahyde, better known to most as being an original member of Primus, having co-wrote many of the early Primus material.
When asked by Rolling Stone in a recent September 2013 interview about new material with the newly reunited trio Les had this to offer.
"We're talking about going into the studio in November. But it's all a little premature - we'll see what happens next week. If we get together and things are just flowing like crazy, then I'm sure we're going to hop right in the studio. If not, then … we'll be calling Alex Van Halen".
