Listening to K49 (at least, that's what it was labeled as) right now, and it is really good. Definitely going to jam this for a few days.
|

God yes, more Mars Volta is always welcome.

Fuck yeah!
I remember a few of these from their pre-Noctourniquet shows.
|
| |
these are some fuckin tasty jams
|
| |
unfortunately these demos are their best material since amputechture
|
| |
eog-3 sounds like it could have been on noctourniquet. There's a lot of good stuff on here.

yay, more good music to listen to.
|
| |
weird they wouldn't have released some of these and past songs as a b-sides album or something... very generous of these fellas
|
| |
rocks
|
| |
anyone have any track orders or anything that they are using? I took 7 of the songs that I thought could work decently together and clipped ends in some places to get them to transition a little better and put them in an order that had at least some sort of cohesiveness to it. Increased my enjoyment a little bit that way. Good stuff in there.
|
| |
I looked at this whole unearthing as a DIY compilation album, I gave it a name, a cover I preferred, and named the songs myself.
|
| |
You're living in a fantasy world Ace.
|
| |
I wholeheartedly agree.
|
| |
This is a real solid collection of jams, though.
|
| |
Absolutely, TMV are musically solid.
|
| |
yo ace i am quite curious - what did you name all the tracks?
|
| |
Fuck all those neckbeards on the coma.
|
| |
wish there was vocals on more of them
|
| |
AOTY
|
| |
what kind of mixing has been done on these tracks? of they sound decent it might be cool but otherwise idk
|
| |
um.. you realize they weren't finished and therefore weren't fully mixed?
DDDDEEEEEEEMMMMMMOOOOOOOOSSSS
|
| |
yes i know what demos are
i'm not asking if they are pristine i'm asking if they are decent
|
| |
Worry not, this is not the end of The Mars Volta. And if I have to drag all involved parties around the globe and into the same room myself. They are like nothing before and nothing that is yet to come. You cannot screw with magic, you know!
|
| |
ciperion lol more like ass idiot bitch
|
| |
It feels like this is soothing my wounds while ripping them open all over again.
The emotions purveyed by music and thus bands are similar to romantic relationships. You feel pretty empty after a band you liked dissolved - however temporarily that may be.
|
| |
Half expecting this thread to say it's a preorder of 10 discs, 7 LPs, sticks blah, blah, at the perfectly reasonable price of £600.
|
| |
If you care about the band and the
individuals who make it, support my
initiative to get the Wikipedia
article to refer to them as being on
a break or on hiatus here:

Thank you!

I really, really, really do not want to intrude in persons' privacy, however since this was made available publicly anyway and only two of four persons are clearly identifiable – which is perhaps a discussion for another day – I think you should see this:
