Metallica in Studio Next Month

2007-02-22 by Jom | 14 Comments
Well, after months of speculation and vague remarks, Metallica has finally confirmed on their official site that they will be hitting the studio with Rick Rubin next month to follow-up on 2003's oft-criticized St. Anger.

But, as with any other Metallica news, there's no working title or proposed completion and release date.

I have really mixed feelings about this - I think it will definitely be better than St. Anger but whether it would still be worth checking out I don't know.

Well, after months of speculation and vague remarks, the_wizard says that hopefully they can at least put one solo into a song and drop the nu-metal riffs that made St.Anger the catastophe that it was. Please retire before you further lose fans!

I read in The Rolling Stone that they said it was going to be like St. Anger but just more thought out.

Oh yeah? I read here on the most trusted news of Sputnik that it will have a Master Of Puppets influence to it. What now?

Oh, I thought they were in the studio last year all ready. I wonder what the odds are of releasing it this year if they're just starting to record.

Yes, I agree with WARPATH_88. this st anger sucked big time yes, but it doesnt mean this new metallica album will suck. and if you people heard some of the premade songs that were still in the making the feel of metallicas songs have a old school thrash feel.. since metallica said its gonna have a master of puppets feel to it. But to me in my opinion its not gonna be as good as there stuff in the 80's but better then load, reload, and possibley the black album.
