Maiden announces more gigs 2007-02-13 by Mikesn EMERITUS | 15 Comments | Metal veterans Iron Maiden announced that it will be playing in a series of headlining stadium gigs this spring, including two first time appearances in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates for the Desert Rock Festival and India. The show, taking place on March 17 on the grounds of the Bangalore's Palace, will be the first to feature a major metal band. The band will reportedly craft a special set list which will include songs from the band's latest album, A Matter of Life and Death, as well as older classics. Organisers have dubbed the show Edd-fest and hope it will encourage more Western metal bands to make appearances in India in the future.
