But I don't want to
|
| |
It is sooooooo fucking boring and bland.
|
| |
Then I won't ever :D
|
| |
I'm afraid it is. Gonna listen later.
|
| |
I'm actually liking this so far, better than the past two albums at least
|
| |
its like a high 3, low 3.5. the instrumentation is great, but the songwriting is not as strong as on AOJB, and while Jesse's cleans are good, his screams are much weaker than before
|
| |
he sounds like the dude from unearth
|
| |
This is their best since End of Heartache and its nice to hear another good album from them after the last two, but it doesnt come close to touching Alive or Just Breathing
|
| |
I like how you left out your high praise for sub-par vox on this thread, Bassdemon.
|
| |
Its better than their s/t and ADD, so yea its good
|
| |
Definitely lived up to my expectations, they haven't sounded this goo in years. Personally, I really
like the vocals too. Probably gonna end up as a 3.5 for me.
|
| |
There is a 5 part documentary on the making of that they will be putting out so at least that is cool.
|
| |

Agreed 100%. Will end up at a 3/3.5 for me personally, but I enjoyed that first listen well enough!
|
| |
Listening..
|
| |
used to be one of my fav bands and ill always have love for em. gonna listen but not expecting anything more than a 3.1
|
| |
Jesse's vocals are great on this though intotheshit. His screams are fine and his clean singing has never sounded better. Adam D's backing vox are also the best they have been on any KsE album, some of his gutterals here are awesome.
|
| |
i really like this so far :0
|
| |
cool will check!
|
| |
Sounds great so far.
Probable 3.5.
|
| |
used to be one of my fav bands and ill always have love for em. gonna listen but not expecting anything more than a 3.1
same. I'd be happy with a 3.1 tho. it's been a long time since they're been a 3.1
|
| |
i still remember the days 10 years ago when i thought killswitch, unearth, all that remains, shadows fall, and a7x were the heaviest things ever. they opened up a whole world to me though and i wouldnt be listening to program music without em!!!
|
| |
bout halfway and its about what i expected. around a 2.5-3. has its catchy moments but just another melocore album. nostalgias hard tho
|
| |
I am so underwhelmed by this. I will take more listens, but at this moment, I am considering this a disappointment.
|
| |
Wait, what? This album stream is exclusive for Romania (my country)?
I'm beyond amazed, even though I don't give a damn about the band.
|
| |
Welp, now I have to step up my review. Commencing the stream.
|
| |
I really dig, it's definitely a 3.5 for me at this point. It's nothing groundbreaking for sure, but it's enjoyable and nostalgic for me
|
| |
Based on the comments, I think I'll skip this one.
|
| |
God dammit Killswitch Engage. Adam D was right about the faster pace this time around, and the riffs
really do slay for KsE standards, but the choruses got even more bland compared to the last album.
This is EXACTLY what All That Remains did when they started getting older. Where is Times of Grace
when you need them?
For those looking to listen: this is above average metalcore with great riffs but a lack of creative
song writing. I will likely end up rating 3.5/5.
|
| |
It's weird to say, but I'm going to agree with intotheshit on this. The harsh vocals are really forced, and a lot of the songs
are kind of bland.
|
| |
what are some stand out tracks? I don't want to listen to the full thing.
|
| |
Beyond the Flames is good. The Turning Point is a great song throughout, as the chorus actually fits
well, unlike most of the other songs. In Due Time is probably one of the better songs. I think the
album deserves a full listen, even if its just for the verses.
|
| |
1234 THIS SUCKS BALLSACK! 123 ALLLLOOOOTTTT OOOFFFF BALLSACCCKK!
|
| |
I think this is pretty damn good.
|
| |
This is the best In Flames record in years
|
| |
Really solid stuff. 3.5-4ish
|
| |
Killswitch In Grace
|
| |
Trebor, your comparisons always seem to be wrong. Not at all like In Flames.
Through Track 6, been okay so far, but 'The Turning Point' crushes for sure.
|
| |
^haha, Track 7 actually kind've.
|
| |
which owns.
|
| |
queefswitch engage
|
| |
Its definitely good metalcore. It would be great if there were better choruses. A lot of people have been talking about how catchy KsE choruses are; I've never listened to them before, and frankly, I couldn't see that with this album. There's a few, but none are special. The blandness of the choruses are actually what keeps this from being an excellent album. The Turning Point is definitely the standout for me. Always is a nice change of pace, but its been done better. And I see a little In Flames now Trebor
|
| |
Meh just another guilty pleasure.
|
| |
I can't believe nobody mentioned how awesome the song Always is. It's not only my favorite song on the album, but one of my favorite songs to come out this year.
|
| |
Listened to the stream. I wasn't too impressed, even though I used to like this band. Maybe I'll listen again.
|
| |
Might wanna stick a NSFW warning in it seeing as the UK stream is on Front's site.
|
| |
" Its definitely good metalcore."
Yeah if you've never heard good metalcore.
|
| |
Good structure with the songwriting. It has some interesting riffs that grab your attention.
These guys are getting older now I did not expect the full agression of AOJB. Its a progression with Jesse just as the band moved forward with Howard on EOH to ADD.
Just wish it didnt have that obvious high production value. I liked the rawness of AOJB.
|
| |
Will check this, they're still among my fav metalcore.
|
| |
Just saw these guys play with periphery. They were spot on live.
|
| |
digging it
|
| |
Hey Damian!
MegaJake, The Turning Point is indeed one of the best songs. Darkwatch, I agree that Always is pretty
special.
|
| |
eh. not too bad..nothing too exciting though.
