this sounds like a hawthorne heights song
| |
it's true. but i'm listening to the haverchucks right now that should help my pop punk cred
| |
It's alright.
| |
Song is sick. And the Hawthorne Heights comparison? Fucking lol!
| |
dude come on. the chorus not so much but the lyrics, vocal melodies, background vocals and that riff at :50
cut my wrists and black my eyes
| |
sounds like they've been listening to too much mcr and rise against. the angst levels are through the
roof. I'd actually dig this song but the lyrics do it in for me.
as catchy as it is, probs not a good single choice. it sounds better in contrast to their usual
bouncy, peppy songs.
also, that gang vocal ending, as extremely short as it was, was way too formulaic of them ugh.
| |
the aiden influence is clear
| |
ew
| |
nice and catchy. i dig
| |
never got the hype around this band
| |
typical MO
:P
| |
not really all that typical for them tbh
| |
i sort of liked this song right up until the chorus ended with "I'm different." ugh.
I actually liked their last album; it was simple and a little chilidish but it was pretty hooky. But these lyrics. Yikes.
| |
Also cyg there's a lot of bands I'd think of as far as angst goes before rise against ....
| |
This band, Misser, and Transit.... There's really nothing in particular I don't like but they just don't do it for me
| |
Holy Kurt Cobain that was appalling lyrically.
| |
"Also cyg there's a lot of bands I'd think of as far as angst goes before rise against ...."
the lyrics are overly angsty but aren't what reminds me of rise against.
the drums, guitars, and style in general kinda do
| |
this band rides on the inner (or outer) childishness and teenage angst of their fans way too much
Goddamn. "I'm different!" every other pop punk kid at my school's gonna be singing that song now, ugh.
| |
maybe
I feel like this is a lot further on the pop end of the spectrum though but i can see the similarity in the guitars a bit
| |
also thank goodness practically no one at my college knows this band
| |
the only reason why it's a lot further on the pop end is because they aren't screaming/yelling out the lyrics with at least somewhat adult vocals.
rather, they are whining the lyrics with their whiny childish vocals. most of endgame and appeal to reason was fairly standard alternative radiorock that was a little heavier.
and it sounds more like mcr than rise against anyways.
| |
Also, the chorus reminds me of tbs.
| |
don't mind the song overall but christ those lyrics are pretty bad
| |
Bad song.
| |
Okay, maybe not bad. Just meh.
| |
gay
| |
the top comment from the chick with purple hair is fitting for this song
| |
terrible
| |
rules hard
| |
Defend Pop Punk... from Man Overboard.
| |
Decent song apart from the lyrics.
| |
riffy for man overboard
the lyrics are basically the same and I liked them just because they're not trying to use any ridiculous metaphors or anything
I like it
| |
fun song
| |
Just realized there are no dual vocals in this song. That's a first for them.
| |
so fucking terrible
| |
gonna have to agree with pmmets. this really does sound similar to hawthorne heights lol
| |
i don't know something about the vocals in this song and the guitars. i can just see where he's coming from
| |
you know i like man overboard lol just don't think the comparison is that far off. if it was any other song i've heard by them i would disagree.
| |
it was mostly the vocals that reminded me of HH on this song. besides HH aren't quite as bad as they're made out to be anyways.
| |
Atari, c'mon man!!
| |
i'm not saying it just sounds like a standard hawthorne heights song of course it's better! just don't think ppmetts comparison was that off! : P
| |
eh I dig it. Not as much as some of their other songs, but i could always use a little Man Overboard
| |
man overboard has some jams but this is certainly not one of them
| |
Nar I'm not really feeling it either.
| |
it slays though
