New Mad Season song

2013-02-18 by FCY | 18 Comments
Mad Season released the first new song in 18 years. The song, entitled 'Locomotive' features Mark Lanegan on lead vocals, standing in for the late Layne Staley. This is one of the three new tracks from Mad Season’s new Above reissue. The music originates from the late 90′s when Mad Season attempted to record a second album.

Jerry Cantrell is/was the heart of most of AiC's songwriting, so putting their name in quotes makes you look very ignorant.

And Robby Krieger wrote a lot of The Doors' material. But without Morrison, it's not The Doors.

The original Mad Season album is awesome. It somehow manages to be more mellow than Jar of Flies.

Song is the bomb. Mark Lanegan's a beast - and a good fit on this jam.

Should say "new" old song, since it was unreleased from a past album. But hey what do I know, I just submitted two stories about two awesome bands that got completely ignored.

I lol'd.

My mind flew straight to Rob Thomas when I read the headline for this, too.
