Audioslave's future uncertain?

2007-02-07 by Stoic | 14 Comments
In a recent interview with Launch Radio Networks, Tom Morello, stated that he's uncertain about the future of Audioslave or Rage Against the Machine (after this year's Coachella Festival). He only seems determined to focus on his solo project Nightwatchman. Meanwhile, Chris Cornell has been busy with recording his own solo project and according to Tom Morello he was unwilling to tour for the support of Audioslave's latest record, Revelations. At the same time, bassist Tim Commerford and Drummer Brad Wilk have been together recording some bass/drums only tracks.

So who are Brad and Timmy C. recording for? Rage or Audioslave? Now that's a good question!

I haven't heard anything new of Cornell's solo deal, but if its anything even close to Euphoria Morning, it's going to own.

silence fool. Chris Cornell's first solo album was amazing, I'm expecting better from this one.

Audioslave is so incredibly boring. On the other hand, I can't wait for Cornell's solo album. The likelyhood of Soundgarden reforming is zero, but if it ever happened, that'd be the greatest reformation I can imagine (except for maybe Mr. Bungle). RATM.... not so much.

I think that the greatest reformation of a band would be of a great band with most of its members dead. So they would come back to life to put out an album.

I wouldn't mind too much if Audioslave broke up. Even if they do release another album it's just gonna keep going downhill. I would like to atleast see them do a tour though because they are pretty ridiculous live.

I am a huge supporter of Audioslave but I'm actually pretty disappointed with them. I liked their first release the most. The second one I thought was pretty bad. I actually haven't even listened to this new one all the way through yet. I wouldn't mind if they broke up.

Hmm...yeah, Audioslave's lasted alot longer than they should've. The first record was promising I suppose, but it's been straight downhill from there IMO.

sad but true. chris cornell had quoted soundgarden as having run it's course, but heck, for old time's sake, why not surprise us all and embark on a whirlwind tour of western australia? :D
