| |
people actually liked ghosts?
| |
Nah, fuck Ghosts.
| |
i like ghosts for like studying or doing hw n stuff
| |
also
composing the score for the video game Call Of Duty: Black Ops II
i had no idea about this. gonna get the game just for the music m/

Holy shit kill you don't like NIN wtf dude you're hurtin my feelings bro holy shit man nooooo didn't you heard downward spiralizing "I want to fuck you like an animal", >:[
| |
cod1 and UO are best but 4 rules yea
| |
nah i like em theyre just overrated hard
| |
will prob suck yay
| |
im not gonna get my hopes up too much but his soundtracks and everything have been fucking amazing so far and the slip was pretty great too so im still pumped as fuk
| |
Holy fuck. This is amazing, I can't wait
| |
Eh, we'll see just how good it is...
| |
@Insurrection Yeah, I was happily surprised to find out he's scoring a Cod game too, hopefully an FPs war game franchise as big as Cod is finally gonna get a soundtrack that isn't conventional and generic as well, and introduce the majority of Cod's fanbase to some real music. I was originally gonna make that a separate news article, but it's been floating around a while and I figured I could wrap it up all up in one article as well.
| |
@silent The fact that he just confirmed that a new album is on the way doesn't qualify as new album
news?
| |
Well, let's take things one step at a time here, he's confirmed it, and that's news. And maybe you
should read the article I linked you that gave me the news before you accuse this of not being news.
I'm not gonna say EVERYTHING that's in the Rolling Stone article at all, I just wrote this article to
provide the link and a little bit of what's in it, I'm not gonna copy all the info, that would be
pointless. Read the damn article, he makes several statements like: "Yeah, there will be new music.
There are some things in the works." and, "there will be a place for stuff that falls in the Nine Inch
Nails column of things." I don't know how you can call stuff like that "vague".
| |
Bottom line is, this is way more than him just hinting at it, or saying that it might possibly maybe be happening, it's actually him saying yeah it's on its way.
| |
nin sucks they have like 3 good songs trent should stick with movie soundtracks he's good at that
| |
Yay if it happens.
| |
Well, I did, there's not much more I really could have summarized. If you read the article, you'd know that, but whatever, I didn't write this to even be a summary, I wrote this to say a few things and then provide the link to the actual article which says it better than I ever could.
| |
You know what? I can never tell man. I'm not good at determining that, I'm tired, it's been a long day.
| |
HOLY FUCK YES
| |
FUCKING MY DICKSLIT YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can't wait, it should be gooooooood
| |
-falls to his knees crying-
| |
this>anyother news
| |
i doubt this will be that good anyways
| |
Enjoying the new HTDA ep, so hopefully I'll enjoy this when/if it does come out.
| |
It will be pre good. Trust me.
| |
itll probably b pre good just not that good
But hey thats just this guy whos only heard Downward Spiral's opinion so yeah.
| |
It wont be TDS or Fragile but it will still be good.
| |
Man, I sincerely HOPE it's not The Fragile. Then I'd have to break it.
| |
oh you!
also I thought Trent did a great job with the soundtrack to The Social Network. nice and atmospheric.
| |
If this actually happens like soon, awesome fucking news m/!
| |
Dude, loved ghosts. I'm a film/tv student and Ghosts has some fantastic stuff for scoring. It's also nice to credit NIN while
others are using lame stock music.
| |
I find most of his stuff to be hit and miss but I'm pretty keen.
| |
hopefully it's more accessible than the angels one
| |
From Ghosts on I felt like Reznor lost his edge
| |
Yeah, I agree sowing. Reznor used to have an edge as sharp as a razor. Should have called him Trent Raznor. oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Sorry, just listened to DOS, mind's kinda phucked.
| |
Beats by Dre? Isn't Reznor the end all be all of producers?
| |
Awesome
| |
i'd rather not get fooled by a purposed final show that they had, i bought 4 tickets
| |
Kinda looking forward to the new HTDA stuff, and maybe the CoD thing won't suck.
| |
the soundtrack for The Social Network was very well done by reznor, wtf is he doing with dr. dre working on the next slim shady
| |
Cool.
| |
"with dr. dre working on the next slim shady"
what?!?
| |
Nah, Reznor already produced a Slim Shady of his own. Niggy Tardust anyone?
| |
what a fucking liar. when I saw them three years ago (apathetically, it was at a festival) he said they were finished for good after the tour.
| |
strobe light
| |
Always struggled to like NIN for some reason. The only song that ever got me hooked was 'Perfect Drug'. Found everything else, including his voice, a bit boring.
| |
^^
Yeah, I reckon.
| |
Cool! I think. I liked Ghosts.
| |
I thought this was already announced. huh. still awesome tho.
| |
When I typed it I didn't intend for it to be a pun, but then I looked at it and figured, yeah, I'll leave it like that, it'll make a great pun. lol.
| |
This is really exciting!
| |
Hope it is actually industrial, not just nu-rock with a bit of programming (WT, YZ...)
| |
Can't wait, only cunts insults NIN
| |
What the hell is "nu-rock"?
| |
Was gonna say nu-metal, but those albums aren't even remotely heavy, would've felt wrong man. Just wrong
| |
That's funny, because neither is 99% Nu-Metal bands.
| |
How With Teeth and Year Zero even REMOTELY reminds you of nu metal is beyond me dude lol. I mean, I'd call With Teeth alt rock, but I'd call Year Zero full on industrial rock.
| |
Exciting. I love me some NIN, hope it happens soon.
| |
Those albums to me are any self-pitying American rock or metal band of the last decade with some bloops chucked on top. I dig every NIN album except those two, even Ghosts and The Slip, so don't be calling me a hater
| |
Anxious to see how this sounds.
| |
Cool.
| |
new deftones AND new NIN. hell yeah.
| |
"All signs point to yes" might as well mean a year or so. "The Slip" was okay, generally consisting of typical NIN melodies and not bringing anything new to the table, except for "Lights In The Sky", this track is awesome. But Reznor was never a good melodist, he's a crafty soundscaper with a flair for catchy hooks. Most of NIN songs sound pretty similar, though they almost never totally suck.
