Considering how trends die on the internet, Myspace would deserve respect if it manages to become popular again, the only thing keeping it alive were bands.

I'll never forget when MySpace had a Secret Show in my town of Albuquerque, and it was Mastodon during their Crack The Skye tour. Was lucky enough to go with my brother, and it was a blast. Always thought it was rad that they would promote a free show for MySpace users. Music always seemed to come first with MySpace.

I like that they're putting an emphasis on music, since that's all I used myspace for anyway.

I never used myspace for social networking (I used bebo instead), but it was very handy for finding new music. Certainly easier than having to use YouTube when my Internet is shitty.

probably was because I was 15 and myspace was teh hip

having music to match the mood was cool but that's about it really

I changed my myspace song like 3 or 4 times a week back in the day lul

I mean, this isn't even Myspace anymore. Timberlake's resurrecting the website's dated skeleton and transforming it into something entirely new, which is admirable.

However, in terms of originality it leaves much to be desired. The new layout looks like a Pinterest that isn't just meant for your girlfriend, and the music services seem a little unnecessary considering Spotify, Pandora, etc. on the rise.

That layout's lovely though.

i remember my friends dropped one by one and then there were only 3 of us left that were still active. then you look on fb and everyone was doing the same thing they were doing on myspace. weird times.

Seems like an entirely new entity, but it still retains the Myspace name... The name alone will get people interested, should be interesting to see how this turns out.
