FUCK FUCK FUCK YES
| |
Sounds like a throw-away track off of Deep Blue. Still...not bad though.
| |
I dig this.
| |
That breakdown and solo m/
| |
Gotta love those vocals
| |
oh yay, another music video showing clips of pollution and shit. song was boring.
| |
Thoroughly enjoyed
| |
Song is solid
| |
Was ok
| |
Slow parts were so boring. At least the production isn't as bad as Deep Blue.
| |
song kinda dissapointed me.
| |
this song is sweet but i still don't understand how this band has written 4 albums and hardly changed their sound.
| |
oh yay, another music video showing clips of pollution and shit.[2] Song was good, will probably click with me the more I listen to it.
| |
Although Deep Blue didn't hold my interest at all i'm still big fans of these dudes and i'm excited for the new material and this.
Will listen and post my opinion when I get home from work. The vocalist for this band is a machine
| |
Same old
| |
They dont change and i dont care, albums gonna be awesome. Winston is a fucking beast
| |
This is good stuff, looking forward to their next album!
| |
not grabbing but aight
| |
Good song, production sounds better than Deep Blue.
| |
much better than Deep Blue thankfully. McCall's vocals are incredible.
| |
Winston fucking rules, drums are always above-par, and I love when the guitarists do the tapping. Works so well
| |
Song was so boring. Cant believe you guys arent ripping it apart for being the same shit they've done for years.
| |
Ya mate this is pretty bitchin'
| |
THERES BLOOOD IN THE WATER
band sucks
| |
Fuck yeah.
| |
Never liked these guys besides KWAS
| |
would love to see them play this live
| |
i actually thought this was pretty average.
| |
This was pretty lame.
| |
Those drum fills and the breakdown at the end were sick! Vocals and guitar solo as good as ever.
| |
Vocals rule but this is pretty average. Maybe a little above.
| |
Generic as usual.
Winston is a great vocalist, but everything else was so meh.
| |
Good stuff. I really dig the last breakdown except that it starts off a bit too slow for my liking around the 3:30 mark.
| |
On second listen I don't like it as much. Drags on about a minute too long.
| |
everything about this is bad
| |
boring
| |
Stop being dark and start being fun again!
| |
McCall's dance moves were so fucking gay in this. Bad song
| |
BEHOLD THE PALE HORSE
| |
good song
| |
band kinda sucks, always did
| |
that was better than the entirety of deep blue
even their mediocre "boring" breakdowns are fun as fuck, and they got their old tone back
| |
I would listen to this before a bunch of other metalcore songs any day.
| |
Vocals are awesome, will certainly be a good album. Stoked.
| |
That was badass.
| |
There were some really fucking awesome parts (like the breakdown at the end) and some really boring parts.
overall, slightly above average. Better than most of the stuff on Deep Blue.
| |
deep blue is pretty underrated, sleepwalkers and Home Is For The Heartless are both amazing tunes, and to whoever said they're going back to their old sound, this sounds nothing like either Horizons or KWAS
| |
build up, for a build up, for another build up.
| |
Deep Blue is definitely underrated, Alone, Pressures, Sleepwalker, and Home is for the Heartless are all really good songs
| |
fucking rules
| |
Awesome
| |
never been much of a fan of this band but that wasn't bad, still too breakdown dependent though.
| |
Winston is a animal, I'm digging the song, looking forward to the new album.
| |
I think I've outgrown this band a lot. Song is okay, will probably grow on me a bit.

I was a massive parkway fan upon release of kwas and I've seen these guys live over 10 times. Im not one to judge when a band doesn't change their sound (given that new releases are a slight step forward or just as good as their previous work), however, this is just not interesting. Only listened once, but it's just boring. A little disappointed. Back to amity for now.
| |
STOKED
| |
Nah dudes, that breakdown at the end was pretty sick, mainly due to the way fucking awesome buildup to it.
| |
Listened again. Not bad. Not great either.
| |
YAAAWWW this fucking rules
| |
KWAS and Horizons are both dope. This is more Deep Blue-ish, which didn't catch my attention all that much.
| |
"I don't get why everybody loves the vocalist so much."
have you seen them live? dudes a beast.
| |
that was actually fucking sick
| |
this is too good.
| |
Winston is a fucking amazing vocalist plus every single member is a top bloke, great dudes, fucking awesome band, this album is gonna be sick.
| |
i want to like this
| |
somehow they've been doing the same technique and sound for four albums, yet i'm still hooked. first metal band i ever listened to.
this is standard parkway, but colour me stoked for this album.
| |
Been following them since just before Horizons. Song was okay, but I doubt Atlas will top Deep Blue, which I love.
Also, Deep Blue production > this production.
| |
Sleepwalker is prob my favourite parkway song. Everyone should check out their DVD (it's on YouTube) and respect the band a bit more
| |
I liked it. Doesn't sound hugely different from Deep Blue, which is their only album I particularly liked. Atlas will probably be absurdly popular in Australia again.
| |
Captain North.. how was deep blue ur fav album D:
anyways song was 4/5 for me.
production on atlas>>>>>>>>>>>>>deep blue
| |
Deep Blue is easily my favourite album by them too. It sounds a lot less generic than their first few releases, and the production on Deep Blue was a lot closer to Parkway's live sound than the overproduced studio tones they had on the first two albums.
| |
I loved Deep Blue, but this song was just boring to me, honestly.
| |
watching winston 2step and shit is awesome
| |
-____- Starts with a breakdown... and ends with a breakdown. Chugga chug/10
| |
I really don't like this guys vocals
| |
Then ur deaf
| |
Vocals are okay, instrumentation however isn't anything spectacular. Not to bad, not good either, quite boring.
| |
Yeah, the production on Deep Blue was absolutely spot on, got the perfect balance between all the instruments. But yeah, won't lie, parkway are amazingly generic and are more of a fun, vaguely guilty, listen.
| |
Loving the production on this song. Somewhere between Horizons and Deep Blue.
| |
the intro totally sounds like Slayer's Dead Skin Mask. Good song.
| |
Somebody make me a gif. image of the stomp Winston does right after "BLEH!" at 1:28
| |
lol i noticed that, made me laugh
| |
....people actually enjoyed deep blue BECAUSE of the production?
| |
that album never really bothered me production-wise
| |
They are rather generic but they do it fairly well. A lot better than other bands trying to do a similar thing. The best thing about Parkway in my opinion is that, despite their now considerable popularity, they still just seem like theyre making music for a few of their mates. Vocals are amazing as is the case with pretty much all Winstons work and takes it from a 3 to a 3.5
| |
enjoyed it. Ending breakdown was cool
| |
Better than expected.
| |
I'm still unsure how I feel about this song. I like the middle bit, and the short harmony, but the intro and breakdown irritate me to no end.
Will reserve judgement till Atlas arises
| |
Will never top "killing with a smile"
| |
Just heard the best description for this song: "It's like, environmetalcore"
| |
They've always been a top-tier metalcore band for me, personally. I never got into Deep Blue, though. Hopefully this album will grab my attention but it's very doubtful as metalcore is starting to lose it's pizaz in general.
| |
I dont care if they put out the same stuff every album. Will enjoy regardless. Slightly a fanboy
| |
THE MOONLIGHT SHINE WITH YOUR BLOOD!!
WE'LL DIG YOUR GRAVE!!!
| |
Hopefully the new album will have a fuck breakdown m/
| |
love this band
| |
That wasn't even worthy of all the praise it's getting....
Unless I'm just not into it yet
| |
Didn't like the song that much when i first listened to it, listened to it many times since and I fucking love it.
Parkway are back.
| |
Has definitely grown on me. I love the drumming, and though it's simplistic, it's still got the energy that I love from them.
Also, that last breakdown... they have breakdowns all the time, and it still hooks me.
| |
Huh.
This grows.
Slightly.
But still sounds the same and it doesn't have the hold like other Drive songs like A Cold Day in Hell or It's Hard to Speak without a Tongue
| |
they are two of the best songs off KWAS.
| |
