Chorus is so corny but it's good that they're up on the energy at least
|
| |
Yeah good but a corny chorus. That is possible, you know
|
| |
so good. These guys are incapable of making a song that I don't love.
|
| |
Someone has been listening to Muse...
|
| |
this doesn't sound anything like Muse...
|
| |
it's got synth so it's probably muse
|
| |
I can see where the chorus is kind of cheesy. It's not bad though, especially since the second half of the chorus rules, and I'm really digging the verses.
Feels like something off of Cities, honestly.
|
| |
This album's going to be fucking awesome.
|
| |
The chorus reminds me of some of the weaker songs on Cities (Adelaide and Hello Alone). That's probably what it is.
You're right though. Now that I think about it the NTFP influence is a lot more present.
|
| |
Such a great song, the energy is incredible
|
| |
worse than the first one for sure.
|
| |
I think that band picture is the gayest thing I've ever seen.
|
| |
lmao
|
| |
"yeah, especially the youthful energy aspect. they mentioned that as one of their goals for vital i think and they definitely achived it with this and self starter at least"
agreed.
lol someguest.
|
| |
The chorus reminds me of that "nah nah, you can't catch me!" tune (so, mi, so mi, so so so la so mi).
Either way, it's pretty gnarly. The album will probably rule.
|
| |
i've only heard the last two posted songs by these guys and they're really good. do all of their albums sound like this?
|
| |
This song rules. Lakes, if you like Anberlin, you should like this band too. The song is quiet though.

'Dark is the way' was lame/boring, new album better be better
|
| |
Honestly, these guys never really disappoint. Can't wait for this album.
|
| |
I love how heavy their new songs are! Can't wait for this!
|
| |
*talking more musically-sounding here... I haven't gotten to ponder the lyrics too much yet -
I like this song a little more than Self-Starter, honestly - at least at first. I think it's a lot more catchy.
I think that this sounds similar to self-starter though.
These singles reminds me a bit of NTFP, at least moreso than Cities, although Cities has the synth going for it - maybe that's
why everyone is saying it sounds like Cities? That or it's those people who were going 'this album is going to be 'Cities part 2''
(bad grammar is bad. sorry. but not sorry enough to change it, apparently.)
EDIT: I've got to stop complaining and over-complicating things. I really like this song.
|
| |
Don't like this as much as Self-Starter.
Does the title of this song remind anyone of Hello Alone? That was the first thing that came to my mind.
|
| |
Yeah, it reminded me of Hello Alone too.
|
| |
meh kinda repetitive
album should still be good
|
| |
damn that's some catchy shit, i agree chorus is a bit corny and the lyrics a bit lazy but you can't walk out of that without a slight adrenaline rush
|
| |
The title definitely reminded me of hello alone. I think the lyrics/feel are different though. More so as I think about it -- the whole attitude, really.
I'm wondering if i can prevent myself from listening to the iTunes previews of songs when they come out and just buy the cd. I will try.
|
| |
of course, but some part of me is hoping it is the hello alone of this album
|
| |
Am I the only one that loves Hello Alone?
|
| |
huh another song better than almost everything they've ever done besides Cities
|
| |
I love the whole Cities album, so yeah I enjoy Hello Alone.
|
| |
Anyone else thinks that 2012 is like some sort of come back year?
|
| |
i love Younglife too :| i've yet to hear a song by them that i didn't fall in love with
|
| |
Good to see they're bringing back the energy with this album, I'm digging both of these tracks they've released so far.
|
| |
tiesthatbindwhatthefuckmanwherehaveyoubeen
stop having a life!
|
| |
having an anberlin marathon now, been too long
|
| |
ties! now it's an Anberlin party here.
Re: disliking Anberlin's discogarphy, I've yet to find an Anberlin song I don't like, although some I'm neutral towards to (surprisingly I like Hello Alone besides that weird chorus of "Hello! Alone!") on their earlier discog (which admittedly I haven't listened to in a while)
|
| |
Sorry guys, I'll remember to properly arrange my priorities from now on.
Sputnik>real life
|
| |
hello alone rocks wtf guys!!!
|
| |
Younglife is prob the worst track on NS (and probably their weakest since NTFP or Blueprints, don't really remember anything besides the memorable tracks on those two) but I still think it's listenable. I just dislike its chorus.
Hello Alone rules except its chorus. Sorry peartnoy. There are people who agree with you but most agree it's the weakest on Cities.
|
| |
that picture....
|
| |
Don't like the chorus, rest is good
|
| |
Albums gonna be great. I think the chorus works fine.
|
| |
Energetic, but I felt that was a real nothing song.
|
| |
I enjoyed it. Album should be great obviously.
|
| |
Am I the only one that loves Hello Alone?
You're the only one that loves a lot of things.
|
| |
"Am I the only one that loves Hello Alone?
You're the only one that loves a lot of things."
hey man just spreading the love
|
| |
not gaaaanaaaaa
|
| |
I love Hello Alone too yeaahhh
|
| |
I've always loved this band, they never disappoint somehow.
|
| |
Rules
|
| |
hopefully thats one of the weaker ones
|
| |
digging it, looks like they're focusing on the more energetic tracks from Dark is the Way. this will never top Cities but they're going in a good direction.
