meh what's with the cleans
| |
Can't check right now. Break room is too quiet.
| |
I imagine most of the album will be heavy but the cleans are a nice switch for the band. Want to get into the heavy now.
| |
Not really a fan to be honest.
| |
Not too impressed. But it was only 50 seconds.
| |
gonna rule, fuck you Ire
| |
Not feeling the cleans at all. Otherwise sounds interesting, I suppose. I'd need to hear a bit more to really have any estimate of how well they integrate with everything else.
| |
lol this better be one of the worst tracks/sections on the album otherwise we've been waiting this whole time for shit.
| |
sounds cool
| |
Generic modern melodeath/djent cleans were generic. Hope the rest is better.
| |
They better not start going all pussy and generic on us! Please... anyone that is a faceless fan and thought that was good is either:
a. Lying to themselves
OR
b. Not a real faceless fan
| |
that was really bad
| |
saw this live the other day, kind of interesting, definitely more proggy.
| |
Was not a fan of that.
| |
"They better not start going all pussy and generic on us! Please... anyone that is a faceless fan and thought that was good is either:
a. Lying to themselves
OR
b. Not a real faceless fan"
Hahaha spoken like a true close-minded idiot.
| |
cleans fit the fucking band
| |
meh
| |
Boring. :/
| |
it's not even that there were cleans in this, it's just the cleans were really bad
| |
band is not aoon
| |
New vocalist is a step up from the last guy, very excited for this.
| |
I can't listen to their old albums all the way through. Just becomes too overbearing. Cleans may be just what they needed.
| |
i don't think i can recreate a retching sound through typing, so just imagine i did.
| |
I'm cool with cleans, in fact I love em. These cleans just sound... Off. Think I'll have to hear the whole song before I make up my mind.
| |
That wasn't so bad, but I definitely didn't see it coming. I'm sure the
re will be some really good shit on here, but I'm also sure that the song in this clip isn't going to be a part of that 'really good shit.'
| |
I love how they're embracing a completely different style of metal...i'm so sick of technical music. This kinda sounded like some kind of gothic metal band like....Tristania?
| |
Shut up Joel you fucking moronic idiotic bitch
| |
I like it but those cleans sound weird. Autotune?
| |
I didnt mind this but I hope the rest of the album is more technical because i want to listen to the faceless.
| |
Loved it. Looking forward to this.
| |
My first news story. Exciting times, folks, o boy.
I like it. I seriously hope there's a lot less screaming on this album. Same thing The Contortionist just did. Very proud of these previously Shitcore bands making something of themselves. I mean Planetary Duality was sick but I'm all for more cleans.
| |
The clean vocals are done so pretentiously. It's like he is trying to disguise his ability with false emotion and exaggeration.
| |
If you want an idea of what its going to sound like, click here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtNlISxBwSw
| |
it's a 50 second preview of a song. which will probably be the slowest one on the album more than likely. you should all calm the fuck down. this will rule.
| |
This album better rule. We've waited for 4 fucking years!
| |
I'm looking forward to this
| |
yeah both The Eidolon Reality and Deconsecrate have shown the band is staying with their death metal stuff. probably just an intro or something.
| |
To take a step forward you must take two steps back.
| |
And is it just me, or are those brief growl/robotic duets badass?
| |
"They better not start going all pussy and generic on us! Please... anyone that is a faceless fan and thought that was good is either:
a. Lying to themselves
OR
b. Not a real faceless fan"
Is this some kind of weird parody, or...?
| |
The cleans sound cool. If it's proggy enough, I will definitely enjoy this release.
| |
This album is going to be YEeAaH!
| |
sounded pretty good.
| |
Someone's been listening to a lot of Opeth...
| |
Vocal work wasn't bad at all, maybe it caught us by surprise.
| |
Didn't like the cleans near the beginning but they mixed well with everything else near the end of the clip.
Song is progged up the ass though.
| |
Progging ass is good.
| |
And is it just me, or are those brief growl/robotic duets badass?
Not just you... I guess we agree on something.
| |
Cleans threw me off at first, but they're actually not bad. I'm cautiously optimistic about the album.
| |
Wish they did the cleans in a different way. Like the way they did them on Xenochrist.
| |
Not impressed. But its 50 seconds which is nothing. So we'll see.
| |
lol sucks
| |
they have the full pre-production of 'the eidolon reality" up as well.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HtNlISxBwSw
| |
Album will suck black cocks.
| |
band was bad, is bad and stays bad. gosh..
| |
If this is as bad as eidolon reality, count me out. Those clean vocals fucking blow.
| |
Exactly how does everyone figure the cleans are bad? Great tone, perfectly within his range, superb control, interesting patterns, etc. I can understand on "Planetary Duality" whereas the cleans seemed to contrast the instrumentation, but thus far, they have done nothing but compliment it fully here. So the statement of them being bad?... I don't see it. You want pretentious singing, you should listen to Nathan Ells.
They sound almost identical with Opeth & Ikuien Kaamos, which no one has ever really seemed to have an issue with.
| |
Precisely.
Dunno what people are complaining about. They fit perfectly. I'm so, so glad they're getting more and more proggy and distancing themselves from the shitty non-genre of deathcore
| |
and once again, they change their style completely. Oh well. I still like this better than Planetary Duality, but what I really want is more songs like Pestilence and Leica.
| |
"The clean vocals are done so pretentiously. It's like he is trying to disguise his ability with false emotion and exaggeration."
... what lol?
| |
I just don't really like cleans in generally when it comes to metal. It especially sucks when a band you like starts using them. There are plenty of other ways to change your sound. Cleans seem to be the easiest way to sound a little different. Seems sort of lazy sometimes, but, like I said, they aren't really my thing anyway.
