New Coheed and Cambria Album

2012-07-31 by Thompson D. Gerhart STAFF | 99 Comments
Progressive rock group Coheed and Cambria have announced a new double album entitled "The Afterman" to be released in two parts beginning October 9, 2012. The second part of the album is slated for a non-specific February 2013 release.

In typical Coheed style, news of this release was release was ushered in by a cryptic countdown that took over the band's website. However, early July 31, the countdown disappeared and was replaced with a video teaser for the new double album, which can be seen on CoheedandCambria.com or on YouTube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vCBa01cDzuc

Uhh, Kris, I like the band to varying degrees, so shhh, calm your shit, go to sleep.

And I was only trying to implement some genuine scifi-esque twists into the pot.

"Musically, ‘The Afterman’ sees the band perfecting their powerhouse progressive rock, soul and even pop landscapes. The dual release also marks the return of original drummer Josh Eppard, who the band parted ways with in 2006, bringing with him his benchmark percussive grooves. Coheed and Cambria self-financed and co-produced ‘The Afterman,’ alongside Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner, who produced the band’s first 3 albums, in Woodstock, NY."

They gotta make it seem like a natural evolution of a story. The story gets better as it goes on and then you get to the climax and still have to wrap the story up, but the actual ending is not as good as the climax was.

That just summed it all up lol dun dun dunnnn!!!
