CHUGGA CHUGGA CHOO CHOO
|
| |
While I do think the idea of reissuing this is pointless, the new songs aren't bad.
|
| |
do these songs have the singer on it
|
| |
Are these anything like The Depths? If they are, I'm staying far away from this.
|
| |
^this
|
| |
@theacademy, was wondering the same thing, but none of them do. The Storm is probably the best among the three though, has a Blessed with a Curse vibe.
|
| |
Yeah, I like The Storm the most. The Flood reminds me of some modern era Slipknot shit.
|
| |
the flood sounds super slipknot influenced
|
| |
these arnt bad. but i miss the old epic cheesy breakdowns
|
| |
boring
|
| |
i want new music with aaron in it he is so cute and good at singing [2]
|
| |
these pussies have probably never even read steinbeck
|
| |
hahahah
|
| |
"The depths" sounds so horrible. Basic guitar riffs... CHUG CHUG CHUG... Scene kid says... "Thats awesome!!" haha
|
| |
"Yeah, I like The Storm the most. The Flood reminds me of some modern era Slipknot shit."
"the flood sounds super slipknot influenced"
I think you're both referring to the song The Depths. The Flood was their last album, which sounded nothing like Slipknot.
|
| |
^didn't even read the news post. I wish they would keep stuff like this off the news board though, this really isn't metal at all
|
| |
"I think you're both referring to the song The Depths. The Flood was their last album, which sounded nothing like Slipknot."
No, If you'd read the news post you'd see that the reissue includes the title track, which wasn't on the original release.
|
| |
Yep
|
| |
"^didn't even read the news post. I wish they would keep stuff like this off the news board though, this really isn't metal at all"
Why does it have to be metal? Fucking lol
|
| |
soulfly-core
new stuff sucks, and I actually enjoyed the album.
|
| |
The Storm is brilliant
|
| |
The Storm is brilliant [2]
Yeah that song fucking slays, and The Calm does too as the companion to it. But The Depths and The Flood are pretty bad.
|
| |
I rather liked the "The Flood" and "The Storm". More than most of the album. Sounds like the band have progressed to me.
|
| |
The Depths is not that good, but The Storm and The Flood are definitely better, especially The Storm is great. They're not as good as the songs on The Flood but they're refreshing and I'm definitely interested in what they are able to do with the next full-length.
|
| |
These new songs are better than the rest of the album
|
| |
"No, If you'd read the news post you'd see that the reissue includes the title track, which wasn't on the original release."
Yeah...I just realized that. Oh well, whatever.
|
| |
I thought that this was on the metal news board, as I don't usually even go to the site's home page. Either way, everyone I know of that listens to this thinks it's metal. That was what I was trying to establish, but I was wrong. As were other people on this same thread. "Fucking lol" sounds like something my little nephew would say
|
| |
New tracks sound great so far, "The Storm" is definitely badass
|
| |

Holy shit you are like a one man circlejerk.
|
| |
The Storm is excellent, and I actually like The Depths, it was just a minute and a half too long. I don't know, I've got a soft spot for these guys, no matter how many chugs they end up chugging
|
| |
A few were good. A few were ok. Pretty standard for them
|
| |
they're all meh, as expected.
|
| |
you're pretty goddamn dumb if you listened to all 3 after expecting them to be meh
|
| |
shit
|
| |
3 new zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
|
| |
they were all pretty slightly above average
the storm has it's moments
|
| |
The storm is the best song, prety good. other song is average.
|
| |
I wish they would keep stuff like this off the news board though, this really isn't metal at all
congrats you said two really dumb things in one sentence
how is this not metal?
|
| |
Not horrible but Austin's vocals are annoying as fuck after a while. The first riff in ''The Flood'' is pretty m/ and the music in ''The Storm'' is great though.
|
| |
Ya storm rules
|
| |
Meh
|
| |
The Storm is pretty fun.
|
| |
This reissue makes no sense. First off it's only one year later. None of the bonus songs are very good(apparently not even worthy of being on the same disc as the rest). It sounds like OM&M weren't capable of creating a full length album without Shayley and this would buy them some time. I could be wrong but they were promising a new album.
|
| |
When they found their new vocalist to replace Shayley they decided to start the new album from scratch and release these four songs as bonuses independent of the new album.
|
| |
I guess without Shay they were going for an all screaming sound like the 4 new tracks on the reissue but since they got a new clean vocalist their going back to the old sound.
|
| |
Hmmm
|
| |
they dont have a new clean singer, hes just filling in for warped
|
| |
Incorrect, Aaron from Jamie's Elsewhere has officially joined. Not sure which sucks worse though, as I loved the fuck out of the last JE release and was looking forward to their new stuff.
|
| |
"The Storm is brilliant [2]

Flood are pretty bad."
Are you kidding me? That was one of the worst things I have ever heard. The vocals don't save
anything on here only make it worse... not only that most of the screaming doesn't even go along with
the music at all whatsoever... It's like the music is playing and the screamer is just screaming for
no reason.
|
| |
"congrats you said two really dumb things in one sentence
how is this not metal?"
Because, it's more punk than metal.
|
| |
lol
|
| |
"Fucking lol sounds like something my little nephew would say"
Tell your nephew to stop swearing.
|
| |
I like these and Idc
#genericmetalcorelives
|
| |
where, besides wiki, does it say aaron as officially joined? they havent announced anything on their FB page
|
| |
Because, it's more punk than metal.
um
|
| |
miss i may, memphis may fire, attack attack, a world alive....i'm so tired of these johnny come-lately metalcore bands.
|
| |
MMF is good.
|
| |
Not that much
|
| |
So Aaron is officially (unofficially) in the band? I thought it'd be hard to find a replacement for Shayley but at Warped Aaron filled in flawlessly (perhaps even better since he screamed some parts as well). Really hope he's on the next album.
|
| |
Aaron was fucking incredible at Warped. I've never been so impressed with a touring band member.
|
| |

Both Aaron and JE have announced in on their pages. JE said they will release the stuff they recorded with Aaron but they are moving forward with a new singer. OM&M are heading into the studio to start laying down new stuff with Aaron. Love of hate the scene, he has an excellent voice and you are doing yourself a disservice if you haven't checked out 'They Said A Storm Was Coming' by Jamie's Elsewhere.
