|
| |
omni sucked lets hope this sounds more like highly refined pirates
|
| |
My 2012 just got infinitely better. Omni was a sold album but i hope to hear a return to the menos el oso sound.
|
| |
i am so psyched for this
|
| |
huzzah!
|
| |
Sublime.
|
| |
Really starting to like this band
|
| |
Fuck yes, can't wait. With all the bands breaking up recently I was starting to worry bout these guys.
|
| |
Sweet, if its anywhere near as good as Planet of Ice then damn.
|
| |
oh yeah. minus the bear saving 2012.
|
| |
omni suuuucked not expecting much :/
|
| |
I'd submitted a news article about this earlier, but I suppose it got deleted. No matter, here's some more information:
-This record was produced by the same guy who produced 'Menos El Oso' and 'Planet of Ice'.
-The song in the trailer is called "Diamond Lightning."
-The tracklisting is as follows:
01. Steel and Blood
02. Lies and Eyes
03. Diamond Lightning
04. Toska
05. Listing
06. Heaven Is A Ghost Town
07. Empty Party Rooms
08. Zeros
09. Lonely Gun
10. Cold Company

reserved excitement here..
|
| |
please be better than Omni
|
| |
Omni was great, interested to see which direction they take this. I don't want a rehashed Planet of Ice or Menos El Oso.
|
| |
Omni was shit. Hope this brings things back.
Trailer sounds pretty dope.
|
| |
If it sounds anything like Highly Refined Pirates, Menos el Oso, or Planet of Ice, it will be great. If it sounds like Omni, it'll be alright.
Hoping for the former. So excited.
|
| |
AOTY.
|
| |
I love Minus the Bear but this sounds absolutely horrible (from the super short trailer).
|
| |
I hate minus the beat but this sounds absolutely amazing (from the super long trailer)
|
| |
Clever.
|
| |
please be more like Highly Refined Pirates pleeeeease
|
| |

|

|
| |

|
| |
song clip sounds reeealy bland
|
| |
Like it
|
| |
i am also of the opinion that omni was shit. i love the snippet from the trailer though.
|
| |
"This record was produced by the same guy who produced 'Menos El Oso' and 'Planet of Ice'."
awesome. album will rule.
|
| |
cool. don't listen to these guys much anymore, but i loved Omni and Menos El Oso.
|
| |
yea let's all just hope for bands to release the same albums they did a decade ago, that's what music is all about
but seriously I don't get all the Omni hate, it's probably their weakest record overall but that doesn't mean it wasn't fun as hell
|
| |
yea, it was fun. just didn't have the staying power that planet of ice had for me
|
| |
I agree with that, but Planet of Ice is a classic for me personally, Omni's just more like a 3.5-4 level summer album
|
| |
YES.
|
| |
but seriously I don't get all the Omni hate, it's probably their weakest record overall
that's why man i expected so much better of them :]
|
| |
You quoted him out of context lol
|
| |
@inveigh, yea planet of ice is one of my classics as well. i tend to get really butt hurt when a follow up album to one of my classics isn't up to my expectations, thus giving me a harsher opinion of it. new TMoE had the same initial effect on me but i finally gave it a few more listens, thinking i should do the same with omni
|
| |
yeah I don't think that's an unusual feeling to experience. very rarely do artists release two classics in a row, so a lot of times the follow up ends up being overlooked due to high expectations (look at Deftones' self-titled, Johnny the Fox by Thin Lizzy, etc)
|
| |
sweet
|
| |
I liked Omni, but loved Planet of Ice. Can't wait for this!
|
| |
Wasn't a big fan of Omni really, but love these guys.
|
| |
