put me to sleep. album will be doo doo
|
| |
It was alright I guess. Won't be marking my calendar for a release date though.
|
| |
I thought it was pretty good. It seems theyre regressing back to the style of "Brother, Sister".
|
| |
this is beautiful. my most anticipated album in a long time.
|
| |
not impressed by this but who cares, feb 1878 and foxs dream were incredible
|
| |
Not bad at all, but lets just say I hope this isn't one of the better songs on the album.
Good thing I already know that February 1878, Fox's Dream, and Cardiff Giant kick some major ass.
|
| |
Fiji Mermaid is really sweet too. It hasn't been released but I heard them play it live. I don't think this one will be one of the better ones on the album, though I do like it!
|
| |
Song slays, album will rule
|
| |
"feb 1878 and foxs dream were incredible"
Those are the only heavy (for lack of a better word) songs on the album, everything else is comparatively tame and surprisingly poppy.
"It seems theyre regressing back to the style of "Brother, Sister"."
This album sounds absolutely nothing like Brother, Sister to me. It does, however, sound a little like Catch For Us the Foxes on "Fox's Dream...," but that's about it.
|
| |
Kept wanting this to be 'king beetle of coconut estate' which is a much better song. This one was alright.
|
| |
is it just me, or does it seem like they're toning down on the religious symbolism in these new songs?
i mean, in the case of B,S the religious lyrics were a hindrance, but on It's All Crazy they worked perfectly.
anyway, song rules.
|
| |
Speaking as a cold-stone atheist, I absolutely love Aarons expressions of faith. They're absolute poetry.
|
| |
Song is pretty good. Album will rule.
|
| |
"I thought it was pretty good. It seems theyre regressing back to the style of 'Brother, Sister'."
I, for one, do not consider that a regression. Brother, Sister and Catch For Us The Foxes are their best albums. So far, this album sounds like an amalgamation of those two albums, which means it will be fantastic, in my eyes.

"Those are the only heavy (for lack of a better word) songs on the album. Everything else is comparatively tame and surprisingly poppy"
You've heard the whole album already? I haven't heard it yet, but Fiji Mermaid has the most intense screaming from Aaron since A->B life and maybe even more intense. It's at the end when he says "did you come knocking on my door, or did I come to yours". Here is a youtube video of it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d0vJW_vhR8M
"is it just me, or does it seem like they're toning down on the religious symbolism in these new songs?"
Idk, I really think this album will be just as faith based or more. Perhaps the symbolism is just deeper in this one. Though I agree that they have gone back to singing about girls so that might take away from some of the direct religious phrases that were seen on "It's All Crazy, It's All False..."
|
| |
The diversity this album has is awesome.
|
| |
I've heard Fiji Mermaid. The ending is undeniably intense, but it's such a fleeting moment and the song is pretty tame.
|
| |
Seriously the best thing I've heard from the album so far.

"Those are the only heavy songs on the album, everything else is comparatively tame and surprisingly poppy."
'it's all crazy...' is the only thing i've REALLY listened to from these guys so no worries
|
| |
"This album sounds absolutely nothing like Brother, Sister to me. It does, however, sound a little like Catch For Us the Foxes on "Fox's Dream...," but that's about it."
Out of curiosity, how have u even heard all this album?
|
| |
I've had an advance copy for a while
|
| |
and we're all incredible jealous.
|
| |
Sorry, I didn't mean to make that sound like bragging, people just keep asking me.
|
| |
Ah, nevermind me, I'm just being a dick.
You're not in the wrong.
|
| |
COME OUT ALREADY, GOT DAMN
but seriously these tracks are all amazing
|
| |
Cant fucking wait for this album, why hasnt it leaked yet??!?
|
| |
Because there is no God...
(But don't tell Aaron Weiss, might fuck up his groove...)
|
| |
i'm stoked for this, this sounded much better than i anticipated. i like the mellow feel of this

|
| |
fuuuuuuuck i need this
|
| |
Not sure if I like it as much as things off of, "Catch For Us the Foxes", but fuck is this good!
|
| |
oh my god this is so good.
on Fox's Dream and every track so far has been fucking gold.
|
| |
might be my 2nd favorite mwY. (behind CFUTF)
|
| |
no way its better than a to b life but im keeping my hopes up that they find a balance between their earlier, more abrasive approach and new more artsy folk sound, also hoping its far better than its all crazy
|
| |
A to B is actually my least favorite of theirs but it still rules and i get why it would be someone's favorite mwY album.
|
| |
NOW WHERE IS THE FUCKING LEAK HARD
|
| |
ok well i know most people on this site dont consider it their best but its my favorite hands down, and no way is its all crazy better. brother sister and foxes come close but a to b has this raw passion and crazy imagery i love. plus the vox are nuts
|
| |
new one is good
|
| |
some pretty disappointed sounding sound-offs we got there...
cant wait to listen tonight.
|
| |
1. how good
2. GIVE ME THE FUCKING LINK
|
| |
you said maynard was the worst frontman, not a damn chance
|
| |
and i stand by that, hes atrocious
|
| |
Album is 75% crazy, 25% brother.
I dig.
|
| |
yeah its very good doesnt touch their first three though but definitely better than crazy
|
| |
Holy Fuck Fiji Mermaid!
