un-fucking-listenable.
| |
shit
| |
like holy fuck that was so bad im gonna go eat some asparagus
| |
it's pretty bad but it shouldn't surprise anyone and its not unlistenable.
i reserve unlistenable for like... Anarchy My Dear or Black Veil Brides
altho truthfully if it wasnt the offspring id probably never hear this song again, but im still looking forward to the new record
| |
yeah i guess youre right. ill still hold out some hope
| |
Song isn't bad. I never really liked the singers voice though
| |
Sounds like Foo Fighters........Times Like These.
I like it though.
| |
can't now listening to gojira
| |
sounds exactly like Times Like These to me
| |

damn it why not clickalbelweawe
| |
Album will have a couple good songs at least.
| |
Sounds pretty good. New album will be pretty good
| |
Meh...the song is bad and I keep thinking of Times Like These when listening to it. Most probably the new album will have some good tracks and more horrible tracks just like Rise and Fall.
| |
somewhere between m and eh
| |
Wow these guys are still going.
| |
Isn't this song like two years old or something? And well, like everyone says, the verse is Times Like These, and the chorus is No Way Back. And very meh, decent but nothing more. Not a surprise, though, Splinter was mostly crappy, and Rise and Fall was good when it was good and horrible when it was horrible.
| |
It doesn't really sound like the Offspring, but i like it nonetheless
| |
@RobbaqPL - Dude Splinter was good, it had some weak tracks but it is a great album. Rise and Fall was mostly shit.
| |
^ this
| |
This cover of Time Like These is pretty shit...
| |
2.5
| |
Not even down.
| |
It does remind me of Times Like These...but I liked it
| |
I really don't understand how a news article can rip-off another news article. All there was to report was that they released a new song and you can listen to it by clicking on a link. What the fuck else do you seriously expect me to say about it?
| |
if you told my 12 year old self that this was an offspring song he would have laughed you out of the room.
this is fucking awful. jesus christ, hang it up already.
| |
The Offspring must really want to be the Foo Fighters. Their last album was titled Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace which is too similar to Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace to be a coincidence.
| |
@Dev518 Even more coincidentally, that Offspring album was released only one year after that Foo Fighters album.
| |
other than the fact the melody is like times like these, overall this actually sounds just like bon jovi to me. when did they lose their pop punk edge?
| |

The Rip-Offspring

OH MY GOD. apparently they released another song from the new album which is (somehow) even WORSE than this shit.
http://www.triplem.com.au/sydney/music/news/blog/listen-the-offsprings-new-song-days-go-by/20120430-g71h.html
it's the second track on the page. HOLY FUCKING FUCK I CAN'T BELIEVE WHAT THIS BAND HAS BECOME.

in my opinion, singers who don't play instruments are hardly musicians, especially if they don't write their own lyrics. personally, i kinda have a natural hate for singers who dress up and dance w/ the mic stand on stage and think they're the shit, yet don't actually play any instruments (steven tyler, ronnie james dio, etc.). and especially singers who try to make everything all bluesy and profound when it doesn't have to be (ian gillan, robert plante especially). also, singers who are just tools and think they're badasses, but also don't play any instruments themselves (the singers from godsmack and disturbed mainly). also, i didn't include singers who mainly rap (such as p.o.d.'s, flobots' singers, etc.).
| |
hey just wondering, you don't actually have any talent do you? cuz i'll have you know sublime absolutely do not suck and if you think my i have no idea what i'm talking about w/ music, i actually play drums, guitar, keyboard, and bass. so i'm pretty ****ing sure i have a fairly decent grasp on music and just cuz i don't listen to a s***load of underground or metal/screamo bands does NOT mean i don't know what i'm talking about musically.
| |
ok as a guitarist/keyboardist (and drummer) myself, i legit couldn't imagine playing one of my original songs and then telling some singer who had nothing at all to do w/ its creation to go sing over it. that's just retarded. like there's tons of good songs which are purely instrumental, but rarely is there a good song that's just vocals. vocals compliment the music which they are sung over and to call yourself a musician just by simply singing is retarded. you can't write a song as simply a singer. and i'll def. defend my choices, cuz i'd rather listen to the top 5 on my list than some egotistical diva who thinks he's the shit whale into the mic. and as far as sully from godsmack goes, i don't care if he also plays an instrument, he's a complete tool.

what the fucking fuck is this thread
| |
dude vrtrooper it seems like we have simlar music philosophy and should jam sometime
