I was genuinely and pleasantly surprised by the intro. Their Nine Inch Nails influence is revealing itself more and more in their singles from the last two albums it seems like. Though when the vocals kicked in I became just completely demotivated to listen to the rest of the song. Jacoby has the same exact fucking delivery in this that he's had since 2004, and what starts as layered instrumentals contrasting between synths and guitars in the beginning becomes really sluggish and 2-dimensional by the chorus because of the vocals.What started as a spark in the pan doesn't last long. This is most likely gonna be a one-off for this soundtrack, but let's be realistic here and not set any high expectations for their new album.
