new track is nothing special ;pl today is just an unsuccesful attempt to bring back the greatness of their early albums; they' ve been chasing their own tail since paradise lost and nothing will surely change in this matter; they entered the dead end street and i just stopped waiting for their releases; i'd rather hear something like believe in nothing ... i know that i'm probably separated in my opinion but i dont give a damn...

Not really, both Faith divides us and In Requeim are awsome and have plently of good PL classics, just like Believe in Nothing. Don't know if "they've been chasing their tail to bring back the greatness of their early albums", but I don't mind this new found heaviness.

yes, you're right; both albums you' ve mentioned had their moments and i also regard some of these new tracks brilliant; still, their music lost a lot 'freshness' lately and i dont enjoy it anymore, at least not so much as i used to do for years; it's only my opinion and i respect yours;

I really liked this too. Not sure why people found it boring. Some of the lead work is pretty cool.

@boleyn2: sure dude and after all they can't please everyone :P. but they'll never regain that naivety and freshness they had in the Gothic till Icon era. they've grown both as musicians and as persons, they think different now then when they were youngsters trying to sound like candlemass and celtic frost. they're just different now.

icon is a solid album

@dreamflight: yep, when you've been playing for over 20 years you must have lost that youthful naivety and passion some day; as for now, they may release another icon-like albums til' the rest of their lives, i dont mind, they've got my eternal respect; these guys proved everything they had to prove.. i couldnt find more than 10 to 15 bands going through such radical changes for years not being afraid of fans' reaction; i dont except them to make another 'one second' (though i'd be fun to hear smth that revolutionary);anyway, i'm gonna give tragic idol a try even if i dont wait fot it too much
