circus train crash

Could be awesome.
| |
Hopefully it'll be great.
It's All!...... was mediocre.
| |
It's All Crazy! was fantastic.
I really can't wait for this, saw a mention about this on Facebook, made my day
| |
I really want to see this artwork
| |
May 15th ain't that far away. I'm excited af.
| |
Its All! was pretty fucking boring. I don't really expect much from them anymore
| |
I liked It's All! Change of direction, but they needed it, and they did it well. No complaints.
I've seen them live since, and I can tell you, the new material sounds a lot like Brother, Sister. Aaron is more intense than ever. I'm very excited for this.
| |
@Captain North: Did you see that video they posted a while back? Just listen to February 1878, they're going away from It's All... and back into the Catch Us For The Foxes sound.
| |
I've heard a couple of these songs and they're pretty great - a nice return to form from It's All Crazy...
| |
circus train crash
and that's why I love this band
| |
Simultaneous sputjizz.
| |
Can't. Fucking. Wait.
| |
Digging the whole artwork puzzle deal, that's pree cool. Hopefully this will be as awesome as the idea of it sounds
| |
This could be an absolute trainwreck.
| |
loved their last three albums, and i see little reason why i won't love this.
also, It's All Crazy! was their best album.
[edit: *is their best album]
| |
february 1878
ew
| |
goddamn this sounds like it's going to be great. February 1878 sounds incredible from the studio video
| |
"February 1878"
i see what they did there
| |
This is one of my favorite bands but I really hope they ditch the christian campfire songs like in "It's All Crazy.." They are capable of so much more. I'm optimistic though!
| |
hell yes. New Regina Spektor and mewithoutYou in May, gonna be a good month.
| |
Can't. Fucking. Wait. [2]

Can't. Fucking. Wait. [3]
| |
band sucks no expectations.
| |
really think this'll rule
| |
after hearing some clips my hopes aren't very high...but they are a great band so idk.
| |
their last one was boring as hell
this doesn't excite me
| |
should be good, cool idea with releasing the cover art as puzzle pieces over a week long period.
| |
Maniac: did you like Catch For Us the Foxes? I've heard some of this album and it's more akin to that than, say, It's All False...
| |
loved everything besides their latest
| |
Should be great, I LOVED Brother, Sister. Awesome band.
| |
Will be counting down the days until May 15th.
| |
Stoked to see them play some of their new songs on the very small spring tour they are doing.
| |
Hopes its better than their last album.
| |
gonna rule
| |
If you guys don't enjoy It's all crazy! then you haven't listened to it on psychedelic drugs.
| |
Seeing them on Thursday, hoping to hear some of the new songs. And their new-slightly-back-to-old sound is great.
| |
please be good.
| |
The vocalist sounds so much like Kermit it's hard to get past.
| |
This will be better than the rather boring "It's all crazy..."! February 1878 / January 1979.
And the similarity to "Catch For Us The Foxes" is really present here. Back to old roots! Nice one.
| |
Hope they tap into their older albums a bit more on this one. Also more paper hanger drum beats would be nice.
| |
Every album they have put out has been spectacular. High hopes for this one.

Yep.
| |
gonna be sick you just watch
| |
I wonder if "Nine Stories" will have any Salinger references. I really hope so.
| |
Stoked for this. Last album was super underrated.
| |
This will/should be awesome. So stoked for this.
| |
stoooooooooked
| |
Can't wait, February 1878 was awesome so I have high hopes for this.
| |
best band, cannot wait
| |
Will be a 5
| |
Have a very good feeling about this release.
| |
i should really get into this band more...
| |
AOTY
| |
I legitimately think based on what they've said so far and live videos that this is going to be their best album yet.
| |
^ If it is that would be sick. It'd be pretty hard to top Foxes, AB Life, or Brother Sister tho because I really really love those albums.
| |
If they top Brother, Sister, I will probably have a seizure out of sheer happiness.
| |
From what I've heard of February 1878, it's pushing towards being incredible. Can't wait to hear the official recorded version.
| |
pumped
| |
Anyone else heard Fox’s Dream of the Log Flume? It seems pretty amazing, like.. it's better than
february 1878.. Here's a link to the only video i can find of it.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILmO4WBh4nQ
You have to skip to 12:45 for it to start.
| |
i remember reading an interview a few weeks before this was formally announced where they directly compared it to Brother, Sister.
i have some pretty high expectations for this, but i think they can pull it off.
| |
it was released about a week ago but since no one posted it on here...

"I legitimately think based on what they've said so far and live videos that this is going to be their best album yet."
It's not my favourite of theirs, but it's still great. The chorus of "Elephant in the Dock" could have been a lot better, and a little bit of the album feels like filler. Basically, what I think everyone will come to conclude when they hear it is: second half of the album >>>>>>>> first half of the album. The first half seems a lot more poppy in that the choruses are insanely infectious, and the latter half seems more atmospheric. Fox's Dream of the Log Flume is easily the best song on the album, in my opinion. "Nine Stories" has very gentle percussion, a faintly heard accordion (or so it sounds), and an absolutely gorgeous guitar melody, but Weiss' vocals are somewhat grating at times.
| |
leakage?
| |
Not to my knowledge. I was given a press release copy of it.
