The Arcade Fire help Bono

2006-11-30 by Patrick | 11 Comments
Crusading singer Bono has convinced folk/rock band Arcade Fire to donate one of their songs to his AIDS charity campaign.

The Canadian rockers were so impressed with the charity - Project Red - headed by the U2 star, that they signed away their song "Lies" to promote the worthy cause.

Frontman Win Butler says, "Having talked to all the people in charge of running the Red campaign and learning about how the whole thing works financially, I am convinced that something of this nature is the only way to get Americans to give large amounts of money to directly fight AIDS in Africa in a sustainable way."

I can't wait to hear the new album. I'm not a Bono fan, but good for them anyways.
