i dig it so fuck a beat n go acapella

I think I'd probably enjoy this more if they dropped the keys. It just sounds cheesy and unnecessary sometimes. Song was decent though.
| |
The keys are def a part of what make them who they are but they are way overwhelming in the mix.
| |
yeah but martas presence onstage makes up for it.
| |
Yeah they sound.. almost comical in this song..
| |
These guys haven't been good in like 6 years or something
| |
Declaration was pretty good
| |
love lost in a hale of gunfire is sick live
| |
Declaration was awsome, self titled blows tho.
| |
Even when I listened to shitty music as a kid - I never really liked this band. A couple of songs from The Truth was all I could manage.
| |
Really don't like the more raw, thrashier sound they've had since their last album. Delcaration was what this band was supposed to sound like, not fucking Slayer with breakdowns and keys.
| |
sounds like devil driver
| |
devildriver doesnt have keyboards
| |
you don't need to not have keyboards to sound like devildriver. just yell in the mic like you're taking a poo
| |
yeah.. because DD is a singer alone taking a crap..
| |
"Really don't like the more raw, thrashier sound they've had since their last album. Delcaration was what this band was supposed to sound like, not fucking Slayer with breakdowns and keys."
I agree, sir.
| |
I like this song better than most songs from their last album. "Declaration" was their masterpiece IMO. However, I am still looking forward to this album. I hope it's more like "Declaration" meets "the Truth."
| |
Masterpiece what the fuck.
| |
it was their best album, i dont think it was a masterpiece tho
| |
i think that was an hardcore album
| |
i thought Declaration was absolutely spectacular, hopefully the new album returns to that sound
| |
Declaration was pretty good (2)
love lost in a hale of gunfire is sick live (2) After a long 7 year wait finally saw them live, and it was definitely one of my favorite lvie shows of all time, never moshed that hard in my life
Song is decent at best until that weird synth line comes through. Im expecting album to be better.
| |
yeah these guys are ridiculous live
| |
Song ruled
| |
Is this actually alright? Declaration was pretty good but everything else they've done is bad.
| |
They were never good.
| |
oh nice
| |
yea
| |
song sucked
| |
Portrait of the Goddess and This Is Love are some of the best records in the early stages of the 2003 upward metalcore craze.
| |
the truth >>> all
| |
Truth was a 3 at best. I liked it including the ballad but more polished and mainstream than the other stuff.
| |
the truth was easily their most succinct release, everything else has too much filler
| |
I'm with Spirit for once (yay)
| |
Songs like Distortion Devotion, Sister Charltan, There Was A Flood, and Divide The Armies are some of my favorite B.T tracks so i'm expecting them to bring the jamz The Great Fire.
| |
hell yeah ty
| |
Declaration was and still is incredible. This song is good but im sure this album wont touch Declaration.
| |
yea Declaration was pretty cool. still haven't really listened to these guys much in the last 3 years or so though.
| |
meh
| |
I never heard anything from these guys. I will check this out... What's their best song tho? Any suggestions?
| |
Love Lost in a Hail of Gunfire is the only thing still worthy of giving a shit about from these dudes
| |
The only one I've heard all the way through is The Truth and it's alright
| |
Hey andcas that song was pretty tight man... The vocalist is pretty good. Good song def
| |
the truth is their worst album, imo
get declaration, metalcore with a tiny bit of black metal
| |
Ok I have a weird question and I'm not necessarily talkin bout this band but I'm curious cuz I'm not a big genre stickler.... How come sometimes you'll have band a that's labeled a deathcore band and band b that's labeled a metalcore band..... And the metal core band will have way more death metal influence than the deathcore band but people label them as metalcore? I just don't understand this..... Personally.. I think the difference between some core bands is minimal or barely noticeable... For instsance.... Parkway drives first cd was labeled metalcore .... But there is certainly a ton of melo death influence ... And emmure almost everyone says is deathcore ...but I can't really hear much death metal at all! Not tryin to start a stupid genre argument .. just wanna hear some oppinions. Merry Christmas everyone
| |
Anyone that says Declaration isn't their best album is a retard. Merry Christmas fuck you.
| |
If I told you the truth now. yadadadadadadaddada blaaaaaahhhh
| |
that song sounded like any random track off either declaration or their s/t. these guys have really lost it
| |
pretty boring
| |
@tommy, genres are usually categorised by the masses. I mean, here in Australia Parkway Drive is called hardcore, since they're part of our 'hardcore scene'. The majority of the fans outside Australia call them metalcore. You might see a melo-death influence in them, but that doesn't make them deathcore. The majority of their music sticks by the formulas of metalcore, hence making them a metalcore band. Make sense?

Pretty much truth right there.
| |
Probably because i've been listening to the band, liking them for so long but B.T was my favorite live performance of all time. I hope this record rules and hope they come to Ft Lauderdale again.
